The world of design is almost like a galaxy, has many meanings, has a lot of perspective, something that should be explored, something that need and have to follow the progress of technology, something that should be explored each day, something that holds a lot of secrets to be sought solution, something that must be learned and useful later for many people, its including many aspects of life, and something that is constantly evolving and we must follow it. And as a designer, I imagine that i was an astronaut who explore the world of design and is still continuing. Still need a lot of knowledge and perspective from the experienced, still looking for “the best destination�. Here's my portfolio, contain the works of individuals and groups (team), from college’s assignment to when I working freelance. All are made with time, mind, and heart to produce results that are appropriate and useful. Hopefully with this portfolio, can show my capabilities and not just end up in this portfolio, I will continue to produce useful results and may be favored. Thank you. God bless.

My name is Erwin Prasetya. I’m recently graduated from Bina Nusantara University, majored in Visual Communication Design - New Media. As a designer, i taught myself to be more aware of what around me and it make me appreciate every process of making something that people will appreciate and understand the meaning. I’m ready, willing, and able to learn more about the value of design, learn from everyone who love design. I’m currently looking for a job position where i can explore different design approaches. Having experience both within team and freelance, i can honestly say that in a team i see myself work best. This is my portfolio, thank you.

01. Print Ads Series of print ads design for, Mizone, Burger King, and Ikea. All the print ads project were from my college assignment and none of them are published. For Mizone, is an isotonic drink that “Balikin Semangatmu OK lagi!”. The brief was to make a print represent the product value and make it as simple as possible. And the idea was “travel”. Pisa Tower is the choice, because of the iconic lean structure. But, can you imagine take a picture, but you have no “SEMANGAT”? The Brief for Burger King’s print ad was to create a print with a suitable copy in “bahasa” that can reach people in Indonesia because not many people in Indonesia (at that time) familiar with Burger King. And the idea that came out was to show the people, that even you are not familiar with Burger King, when you see how tantalize Burger King is, it make you want to eat it. And for IKEA’s, the brief was to make an adaptation from existing print ads with “Indonesia Pop Culture” as the main idea. There are two different idea with a different target audience, the first one for teenage girl, I choose the “Cabe-cabean” sensation as the idea. And the other print ad was for the “High-End” women, where at that time, the first lady of Indonesia was really known for her photography and instagram activity, and that cause a lot of different reaction, mostly making fun. So, I think all the idea were suitable with IKEA idea that “Some Things are Better kept Separate”.

02. billboard concept A concept design for Baygon billboard. Baygon came with a product with a tagline “Perlindungan Tanpa Putus”, and the unique thing about this product is the flexibillity that can be extend without any worry to break apart. The brief was to make the billboard simple but unique at the same time, just like the product. So, I created a concept that show in the picture.

WORKS 03. packaging concept Campina, with the Hula-Hula ice cream are making a promo called “Hura-Huraâ€? with the winner get to travel around Indonesia for free, so the brief was to make a promo packaging that standout and showing about the promo. And the idea that came up to was Indonesia itself, so the element in the packaging including batik and, some illustration of some famous place in Indonesia. The color match with the avour and stand out enough among the other competitors.

04. Newsletter The brief for Typographia Newsletter project was to give a good editorial layout and composition for materials that have been given. This newsletter contain a lot of articles and information about design, from the past until now. For the design, i’m using grid system for make it easy to read, informative, and pleased to read.


05. Re-branding Java Musikindo are an international promoter since 1994, known for promoting concert for many big artist in music industry. The brief for this project was to make a brand that look more suit and freshen the company itself. So, the main idea after doing many research was refer to the owner Adrie Subono himself, because he is known to be a HARDWORK, DYNAMIC, and CREATIVE person when he build Java Musikindo. The logo itself are the initial that forming like a bee (a hardworking animal) and using vivid and dynamic color to freshen the brand itself.

06. Infographic Series of my infographic projects For the infographic style in almost design, I like the use of flat design, because it make overall design simple, but the other hand the information can be read easily. Each infographic consist of different section depend of the purpose of the infographic itself, like for Java Musikindo’s infographic (the black one in second row), the purpose was to tell about the about Java Musikindo brand and the redesign solution, so the design consist a flow of many section like the early history, the owner, the logo of the brand, and the audience, until the redesign solution.

07. web design Series of my web design projects. The first one is redesign for Toy Con UK’s website. I try to make the website more simple with flat design and easier for the user to interact. I’m using 960 grid system to make it well built. Dkv Shop are my team’s work for e-commerce website. Dkv Shop are supplier for art supplies such as pen, pencil, etc. We try to make the e-commerce website look simple and easy to use. We use 960 grid system to built this website. The last one is my concept work for Indosat’s The Cameo project, the website where we can share our talent and story through video and upload to our site. For this project, we use vivid color to represent the dynamic and how colorful our generation can be, how creative they can be with the technology that always moving forward.

On the Go!

08. mobile app: superbubur on the go Super Bubur on the Go is an mobile application for smartphone, and the idea was to make the product of Super Bubur come colser to the consumer. With this app, you can order super bubur anytime, anywhere. The purpose was to increase the brand value as the “healthy fast food�. The app itself consist of the product info, location of Super Bubur seller/vendor, and information about the company.

09. DIGITAL ACTIVATION: aLLIED YOUNG Allied Young are a provider service with cheap data package and super fast connection that targeting young people as their audience. With Allied Young being unfamiliar, they want to approach the young people that Allied Young is the Brand for Me. So, we (group project) created a digital campaign where a contest as the main idea. We called it “The Ayank Chalenge�, Ayank are the shorten of Allied Young but with familiar twist, because the word Ayank was known for a pet name among lovers in Indonesia. The participant (consumer) whot get the most points will get to date their favourite idol. Points can be earn by top up the credit, register to Allied Young data package, and share about the contest in their social media. This campaign are supported by Facebook page, web banner, and mobile application where the consumer can check their points, internet quota, and more information and promo.

10. social campaign : kOMNAS PEREMPUAN This is my group project for “Komisi Nasional Perempuan� social campaign about sexual harrasment. In this project, we try to see the problem from many perspective. Many people see the problem of sexual harrasment are because the victim is too revealing or some people say its because there is a chance for the abuser to harras and abuse. But we think that all of the problem must have the root, and we found that the early teenagers (15-18 y.o) are easily get the access to porn or something similar. So, we think that the teenagers can be a hero, a hero that can prevent this problem. With this social campaign, we give instruction to help them prevent sexual harrasment around them and we increase the moral of their society, especially boys that they can be the hero for the girls and prevent the sexual harrasment.

11. web campaign : KOMBUCAMP Kombucha tea is a variety of fermented sweetened black or green tea drinks that are commonly intended as healthy beverages. For this project, the goal was to find out the extent of the application of visual communication design can help the making of visual campaign website as an introduction to kombucha tea. With research from many books, interview from expert, and many articles, the results achieved was the discovery of visual communication design website that can provide information about kombucha tea and call to live healthy with kombucha tea assisted by easy-to-understand infographics illustrations. The conclusion is that in order for research purposes is reached, then the necessary visual design effort devoted to support the design of the website “Kombucamp: A New Way To Be Healthy”.

12. POCKY STICKER : fb aPP JKT 48, were the ambassador for Pocky at that time. Pocky launch the Pocky Sticker, where the consumer can get a collectible sticker of JKT 48 members when they buy Pocky in store. Pocky maximise the campaign by making Facebook Apps where consumer that have collected a certain amount of stickers or get a special sticker, they can upload the proof photo to FB apps and get to win a wonderful prize (with original signature from the JKT 48 member).

13. UNIQLO : DIGITAL ADS Uniqlo is a well known apparel brand from Japan. With quality and unique apparel design, they have spread their wings around the globe, including Indonesia. To reach out people in Indonesia, Uniqlo using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and also E-mail (for subscriber). For E-mail, there are a weekly newsletter that inform subscriber about weekly promos and new arrival item. And there are daily post in Facebook and Twitter so the consumer can keep the update about Uniqlo products.
