DESIGN PHILOSOPHY My understanding of architecture and its effect on society has inspired me to appreciate the character and unique influences design can inflict on personal esteem and place making. I believe that design influences our everyday lives and has a long lasting effect on our happiness and sense of belonging. I strive to incorporate human and global sensitivity into every design decision, with a strong believe that the ultimate goal is to create holistic spaces that enhance an individual’s perspective as part of wholesome community. To me design matters because it is our basic necessity, because shelter is more than a box it is an experience with the opportunity to inspire a greater tomorrow.

Ritualistic Palimpsest: A trace of Ingredients, Culture, and Traditions With a unique passion towards the creation of food and the creation of spaces this researched focused on an understanding of the cultural necessity of food and architecture and the impacts these have on our daily lives. The product of this research led to a series of design studies about the acts of food, cooking, eating, and sharing and the spaces in which these acts take place, spaces to learn, make and share. Located in Puerto Rico and founded in the traditions of food in relations to the culture and locale this project became a what if scenario where food and architecture are the primal roles that identify a sense of culture.

“Like the table itself, food stages events, congregating and segregating people, and food becomes an architecture that inhabits the body
