Communication with one another since the introduction of mobile conveniences such as SMS has been argued to be fragmented by sociologist Nicola Green. With the ongoing abbreviation of language into shorter and shorter forms through this medium, there is evidence to support the ever-decreasing lengths of communication and interaction time people have with one another. Mobile technology and its functions are more ubiquitous today than ever before, seemingly making real life contact meaningless. What if society acknowledged this and decided to skip the ‘middle man’ that we’ve become?
