What is a typical day like in your life? Everyday is new and exciting because of the people I come across at the Chalet. Although, we do have a routine set of meetings with everyone that’s on the property, to understand what we can do to help each other and better our work overall. I also ensure to squeeze in some time for my workout!

What does it take to be successful in the field you excel in? I’m not entirely sure about “successful”, we’ve not reached there yet. Everyday is a learning for us, and I think it’s important to go in with an open mind to accepting, learning, and adapting - where and when required.

How did The Chalet happen? The Chalet has been a concept I’ve dwelled upon for years but never had the exposure, opportunity or courage to put it together. My previous job helped me understand where my grounding lies and I decide to take that plunge.

How to u manage work and personal life? I go with the flow - depending upon what requires my attention more at that time, I focus there. There’s no hard and fast rule. I have extremely understanding people at work and at home! I’m grateful for that.

Tell us something about The Chalet? The Chalet is an open cultural space, where we work together on building a community that has a common belief - art, theater, culture, sustainable living are our core values. We promote these aspects through our retail space, workshops and events. I love my work, I think I’m majorly defined by my work and I cant go over

a day without being at work or working through emails or calls! It’s very hard for me to not speak to everyone at work, even if it means I have to call and say Hi! :)

Where do u see yourself in the next 5 years? I see myself building and working on community spaces - bringing people together on a larger scale 5 years from now.

What was the proudest moment in ur career so far? Again, I feel like I’ve only just started my career. I’m taking baby steps. But I would say my proudest moment was when we had a participant travel from Kareemnagar specifically only to attend one of our zero waste talks in collaboration with bare necessities.

Three things you don’t leave home without? My phone, my bag, my bracelets. Next holiday destination? If all goes well - somewhere in Italy, hopefully. Most recent fashion purchase? I’m not a big shopper - but some make up from rubyS Rapid Fire
