What is beauty according to you?

I believe internal beauty is more important than external appearances. My idea of beauty is someone who is comfortable in their own skin, happy and confident with their own true self, someone who embraces their imperfections, because - nobody is perfect! I believe that these are the most attractive qualities in a person and of course, grooming always helps! Your appearance can always be enhanced with radiant skin, healthy hair and neat brows.

My beauty icon is Madhubala, she had style, grace and charisma. sShe was a trendsetter in many ways and her expressive eyes and dazzling smile still make many hearts flutter! Curvy and comfortable in her skin, she started many fashion trends in the early ’50s, she is my ultimate fashion, style, beauty icon and diva.

Can’t walk out the door without, my Dermalogica moisturiser, sunscreen and lipstick.

Your advise to people who seek your profession?

Advice to people in my industry, ATITHI DEVO BHAVA -(the guest is equal to God) If you want to be a part of the hospitality industry this must be your motto. Also, be prepared to leave your ego at home, as, quote unquote - ‘the customer is always right’. This field is not as glamourous as it seems, a tough but extremely gratifying industry especially when it results in content and satisfied customers.

Perfect winged liner is dream that looks real difficult to achieve, but by following these few steps you can get closer to achieving it. Before you start mapping out the shape for your liner, remember to look straight into the mirror and follow these steps:

1. I like to apply mascara before the liner, as it gives a better sense of how far out to lift the liner. This mascara tip is helpful to get an edge or a starting-point for your liner.

2. I start drawing the liner from the middle of the eye, rather than the end, so as to get the necessary elevation and angle. Do short strokes and build your liner patiently. Also keep the liner closer to the lash line.

3. Lastly, draw one little flick at the end and work your way towards the lash line. I suggest finding an angled brush with a fine tip, as it’s easier to control and manage the perfect line every time. Always keep a Q-tip handy, in case you need to clean any smudge.
