How is Nandini Rai as an individual? I am a go-getter kind of a girl. I love my work and make sure I achieve my dreams and goals. I work hard to achieve what I desire and today I am happy that I'm finally living my dreams.

How did you get into acting what inspired you? Class 7th changed my life. When I first met the late Soundarya gaaru on the sets of an advertisement the way she was treated and the kind of crowd who were appreciating her work and all that got stuck in my mind and then I decided even I want that love from the audience when they see me or my work, therefore, I decided that I wanted to be an actress.

Tell us about your current projects which you are working right now? 2020 has been an amazing year for me as I got busy with 7 big offers on my plate and luckily I grabbed them all which includes Sushmitha Konidela and Anandranga project called #shootoutatalair for zee5 Director Tejas web movie for #netflix Renu Desai project called Aadhya Something fishy for amazon Inthenameofgod for aha Satish Vegesenas web for amazon and few Tamil movies.

How would you be celebrating this Diwali and what importance it holds to you? Diwali is a festival of lights, it’s a festival of happiness. Every year on Diwali I'm with my family and I specially enjoy decorating the house with loads of flowers and diyas and of course, we have Lakshmi pooja at our place and we have all our guests and friends coming home for Diwali and being half North Indian and half South Indian I get to eat both kinds of cuisines on that day and I'm against sound pollution as I love celebrating Diwali in an eco-friendly manner and as I love pets so I do not encourage sound or bursting crackers.

3 things which you love doing the most in Diwali? Decorating the house with lights. Meeting friends and relatives. Of course the Diwali special meal with loads of sweets.

Are you a fitness freak what kind of fitness and diet regimen do you follow? I love working out and I believe in a simple fact that you are what you eat. I'm conscious of what I eat and I don’t cheat much with my food and I We see your fashion sense is up to the mark what inspires you, what are your favourite Indian brands or designers in clothing? Being comfortable in what you wear matters the most to me. I follow the updated street style fashion so that it keeps me fashionable on time. few Indian brands I love flaunting are Indya, Global desi and Sabyasachi.

What do you feel about the covid scenario pre and post covid what has changed? People are more attached to the families now as all of us have realized that things are just materials what matters most is the family and people we love. 2020 has changed our vision towards our lives and post covid I think nothing has changed much it's just that all of us now know what measures to be taken to be safe.

Readying The Festive Spirit

This year, we have had to readjust and refocus ourlifestyles. While surviving the present situation, we’ve learnt to find happiness in the little things. And this goes to our Diwali Celebrations as well. Surely the festivities have undergone a few tweaks and changes, but that won’t dampen our spirits! We ask the city’s known faces, as to how are they planning to bring home the festivities this year.
