From leather jackets to trench coats to blazers, oversize is the new normal. Gone are the days of fitted suits, now everyone goes a size or two up. They can be styled with outfits available in one’s closet like turtlenecks, A-line dresses, knitwear and even boots. You can experiment with the variety of colours and prints they are available in. Famous brands like Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Chanel have opted for an array of oversized looks for their latest collections. Karan Johar is a flag bearer of oversized outwear and is often seen extremely comfortable and confident in them. It would undoubtedly become one of the versatile items in your collection.

Since this ’90s trend isn’t going away anytime soon, I would urge you to invest in this piece. Every person has a different take on styling it and manages to create casual looks to highend streetwear fashion with these vests. A simple, white-coloured button-down shirt, leather pants, or simply the vest itself transforms your look from ‘geek to chic’. They can be worn in warmer weather as well making it a handy purchase. The stealer of a million hearts, Harry Styles was spotted wearing his sheep vest with a checks shirt and paired it up with blue striped pants and pink shoes.

Winter is incomplete with the good old leather outfits (faux of course). Whether they are the goes with everything leather jackets, the midi leather skirts (which is honestly one of my favourites), leather pants, boots or the latest fingerless gloves, they are a fan favourite. Following the New York, Milan and London fashion week, head-to-toe leather outfits have been dominant in a range of brands. If you’re not a fan of an all-black outfit, then maybe mixing the colours of the leather garments can also be a stylish option to achieve a leather ensemble. Radhika Madan rocks the leather midi with an orange top.

Bomber Jackets are making a comeback this winter, with due given to celebs like Rihanna, and Kendal Jenner. Bombers are light weighted compared to the coats and the range is incrediblecropped, oversized, satin. Thanks to brands like H&M, The Souled Store and Mango, these jackets can be accessible to buy at a decent price range. You can style your Bomber jackets with cargo pants, colourful bottoms, or a mini skirt to bring back the Y2K vibe. Ranveer Singh’s fashion sense is a definite vibe. He was seen wearing a striking fluorescent green jacket from Louis Vuitton. He paired it up with a white t-shirt and baggy jeans with his patent white sunglasses and a silver chain.

Nothing speaks luxury like faux fur. It adds glamour even to the most basic outfits and is spotted on an assortment of models and celebs in the form of coats, bags, bucket hats. You can style the oversized faux fur with cropped jeans sneakers or boots and play around with the colours of the coats. The fur bag can be paired with a classy midi dress to add a chic contrast. It's time to do the twist and move with the fringes. Midi Skirts embellished with fringe at the bottom was an eye catchy garment from the latest Bottega Veneta that was paired with a knit sweater. Feel free to try the fringes added to coats as well as tops with fringe-accented sleeves this season. Samantha Ruth Prabhu wore a chic heart faux coat with a black top and skinny pants with a pair of loafers.

The horsebit loafer has been a part of the Gucci household for decades. This trend I am a massive fan of, as loafers are chic, comfortable and stylish. They give a sophisticated look that sneakers don’t add and go well with any outfit aesthetic. Loafers look best with skinny jeans, plead skirts, knitwear and sweaters. You can pair your loafers with frill-top socks to give a retro twist to a modern outfit. Loafers are available to buy in brands like H&M and Zara if you wish to indulge. Gigi Hadid was seen wearing bright red loafers with cropped skinny jeans and a beige sweater.

This season add a little life to your winter collection and indulge in bright, bold colours. Straight from the runways of Valentino, Elie Saab: Kermit the frog Green and Fuchsia Pink are a couple of choices to dive into. It is important to understand which colours you feel the most confident in and which suits you better before investing in pricy garments. Tonal dressing (i.e. head to toe in one colour) has taken dopamine clothing to the next level. You can ease your way into the trend with popping accessories or knitwear. Deepika Padukone was seen wearing a bold red pantsuit with a cut-out top with red heels.

The oh-so-classic scarfs are found in most wardrobes. They can be simply paired as a headband, neck scarves, belt or a bag charm. This accessory is a very adaptable piece and is available in most closets. Take a hint from the Givenchy and Hermes looks and adapt the chunky rings on multiple fingers to add a little pizzazz to your otherwise plain outfit.
