Brilliant, Beautiful, Unstoppable

Known to turn heads wherever she goes, the fun loving and quirky Adah Sharma has graced our cover with her virtual presence. She is so down to earth and loving that you will have to remind yourself time and again that you’re speaking to a film star. We love the fact that Adah has always spoken her mind fearlessly and never shy’s away from something risqué. Excerpts from a free flowing tete-a-tete.

You've worked in Bollywood and the South Indian Film Industry. What's the difference you find between both of them? There aren't many differences. If u have a director who wants to make a film for the right reasons, I'm sure it will be an enjoyable experience even if we're shooting on mars.

How did your career in acting start? Has acting always been a passion of yours? When I was in school, I wanted to be something else every week. I wanted to join the circus also very seriously at one point. Then I thought if I can be part of movies, I can do it all.

What is the turning point in your career? I think 1920 in Bollywood. And puri jagannath’s heartattack in telugu.

Apart from acting, what other major activities do you usually engage with? Stone skipping, Element collecting, social distancing, taking screenshots of all things il never need, lizard and crow photography.

What are some projects that you're currently working on? Commando 4 will begin soon, The Holiday season 2 also. There’re two more films in Hindi, in telugu I have 4. Currently shooting for this film called meet cute that Nani is producing his sister Deepthi is directing. I just had a short film chuha billi that released and I had so much fun doing it. Tindey is also a short I did which won a Filmfare. I will be part of a project language no bar, length of film no bar. There’re two web series as well.

What's the recent item you stroked off of your bucket list? I honestly don't have a bucket list. If I want to do something I do it immediately. I believe in kal ho na ho.

Tell us about the funniest rumour you’ve heard about yourself? I don't think anyone with a good sense of humour has spread any rumours about me They are all very generic non funny things. Maybe I should spread something about myself.

What would you like to tell people who are romantically interested in you? Firstly Who are these people? I guess I'd be flattered and get a little awkward.

Tell us something that you have never told anyone else? I can fly when no one's looking.

When can we expect to hear wedding bells for Adah Sharma? You will have to travel back to 1920 for that

Food or gym? Food and then gym followed by food

Stilettoes or sneakers? Sneakers on the red carpet and stilettoes while pole dancing

One director that you would love working with in the future? Tim burton

Your celebrity crush? Kuch baatein kahee nahi jaati

Your biggest regret? Not leaving with the aliens when they requested me to

Morning person or night person? Night! Trying to change it over

Three things you never leave home without? Socks, paint (because you never know when you will need to paint the town red), khakras

Favourite pastime? Mimicking people

Most imaginative insult you can come up with? "Nice”, it's "nice"...I think nice is the most uncreative adjective to describe something... makes for the best insult

Most used curse word? What a *stupid* question! I don't f***ing curse!

Favourite emoji? Maybe the shit one...which looks like chocolate softie ice-cream
