SHADOW AND BONE
When mapmaker Alina Starkov, an orphan, unlocks an astonishing power that could alter the course of her war-torn world, evil forces conspire against her. It is high fantasy, similar to The Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones. Shadow and bone is an adaption of Leigh Berdugo’s novel and honestly could not have asked for a better ensemble to adopt the characters from the book. Ben Barnes exudes excellence as General Alexander Kirigan. By combining elements from other books (Six of Crows) in the Grishaverse that gave the world more complexity and introduced more interesting characters, Eric Heisserer has made an extra effort to develop the Netflix adaptation. The visual effects as well as the action sequences are one to watch out for. If monsters, mystery and magic is your jam then I highly suggest you watch this show because trust me you are in for a treat.

“The attention to detail in the show is something I truly admired. From the diverse array of costumes, topography and the charming cast one tends to get so involved in the world built by the creators that the real world tends to fade away, clicking next episode is the only option”
