I was one of the first Indian bloggers invited by Manchester City to fly down to Manchester for their match and create content for them. It still feels surreal. Before I started content creation, it was my dream to start a really cute cafe themed around cupcakes.” Instagram: @theshimmergirl

SHOPPING PARADISE: CHARMINAR
Shopping can never get boring and in the city of nizams, the everlasting aura of shopping at Charminar remains a classic for most fashion enthusiasts. The beauty of Charminar isn’t just about the phenomenal architecture curated to cherish through generations, but the monument is a true sign of hospitality, elegance and a versatile introduction to the world of shopping. Dubbed the Arc de Triomphe of the east and Hyderabad’s most iconic structure, Charminar, was built to mark the eradication of the epidemic cholera that had ravaged the city in the 16th century. Lying on the east bank of the Musi river with the Laad Bazaar to its west and Makkah Masjid to the south-west, Charminar is a cultural and historical landmark that translates into four minars or pillars in Urdu. The area around the monument is also referred to as Charminar, and for a first-timer, a tour of the Nizam city is incomplete without taking in the infectious energy of the place where it all began. Albeit traffic-ridden, the bazaars are still chaotic with their labyrinthine by-lanes heaving with hawkers, bangle sellers and food stalls.
Shopping can be a real pain if we have to move from places and travel distances trying to find the right fit. Amidst this chaos, just a mere thought of a bazaar filled with over 14,000 shops, extravagant silhouettes and pocket-friendly prices cheers up the shopping buzz in all of us. Charminar is a hub for ethnic fashion and innumerable designs of cloth. One of the best parts about shopping in lad bazaar apart from impeccable styles and designs is the price. Budget-friendly prices make shopping here easy and pocket friendly.
Charminar is a place where Exclusive jewellery sets will leave you stunned. From simple earrings to bridal sets, this shopping galore has it all. Beautifully layered necklaces with pearls and emeralds are surely a decent pick. In the alleys of Laad Bazaar, you’ll find a never-ending display of elegantly crafted pearl chains, maang tikas, enchanting earrings and stunning nose rings. This is the perfect place to find jhumkas and other earrings in faux Kundan, polki and other designs. There is no sugar coating here - what you see is what you get. And 50% of the time, what you get here is at par with what's available at high-end stores. Street vendors, mostly tribal women from Andhra Pradesh, put on sale anklets and waistbands. They are not made of silver, but you might just get lucky if you manage to spot a piece that's perfectly crafted. From colourful clips to hold your hair in place to fancy, shiny clutches - there are chances that you might end up finding something you like. The bangles here can put the bling-loving hip hop artiste to shame, yet, have a charm of their own. Hyderabad is known for its bangles, with an entire lane dedicated solely to this accessory. So, while on your midnight jaunt, take a walk down the 'bangle' road to check out the latest. Put up a good bargain and viola! You're now the proud owner of some glittering delights.

Charminar is one of my favourite shopping places. one of the main reasons I go to Charminar is for its jewellery, you can find beautiful designs of jewellery right near the hawkers and pedlars for the most reasonable prices. Another favourite part about it is that you can find heavy designed ghagras and lehengas for absolutely reasonable prices. If you compare the prices with any boutique, you will crack a better deal at Charminar.

Nothing says Charminar and old city better than a pair of shararas and pearls. So Charminar is where my design journey began. Whenever we used to visit Hyderabad my mother would take me with her to shop for fabrics so we could design our ethnic wear. And I remember spending hours and hours walking around stores selecting everything from laces and borders to matching bangles for my outfits. And the streets of Charminar, just scream inspiration to me, the colours, the lighting, just every corner has a personality of its own! My favourite is Madina market, I can spend hours shopping (even window shopping) for fabrics there. And choose Bazar, like do I even have to describe this? One can just stare at these streets and never get bored. Bhumija, Student
Charminar is a beautiful place indeed but for a shopping fanatic like me, the laad bazaar has to be my forever favourite. The beauty of the place, the crowd, the vibe, the colours and the lights just make my whole shopping experience so much fun. The designs and prices are commendable. Do check out shopping at Charminar. It's worth it. Pragnya, Student
