Moods/ Journey
Roscrance is a private non-profit organization that offers health services to teenagers and young adults that suffer specifically from drug abuse. This new institute at the corner of W. Van Buren & Desplaines in Chicago is to accommodate 22 young adults. The design is a Net Zero project. But with a greater emphasis is moods and journey and adaptivity .

Connect/ Anchor
Connecting My attitude toward RiverKeeper is to connect to the community in such a way that is permanent . Connecting the community to the river through the RiverKeeper is essential for the preservation of water and ecological integrity. The 3D Diagrams explain or show my early iterations on how I want to connect the community to the river keeper through these massive pillars that are anchored on to the ground and the lighter frame envelops or wraps around my building The building is broken up in 3 main spaces: Community, RiverKeeper and Oratory which are represented by the different color scheme towers. A boat house is adjacent to the RiverKeeper.
My attitude toward Riverkeeper was to connect the program to the community in such a way that is permanent, meaningful, inviting and visual. Riverkeeper is an institute/organization that educates the community on the preservation and importance of rivers and its ecology, many times gone unknown throughout history. My goal was to transform J the way we treat our rivers and give value to the leadership and the role of the Riverkeeper

Cultivate/ Innovation This project is designed to accommodate third world countries in need of schooling for their young ones and who find them selves short of resources. The goal was to adapt this concept of cultivate and growth using local materials unique to each site. Stone is the primary source for the foundation and cross laminated timber as a lighter component for the outer envelope.

Episcopal School of Dallas Dallas, TX
2015
The new Episcopal School of Dallas lower school is looking to be a springboard for life-long curiosity and purposeful relationships. There goal is to be a community of nested neighborhoods centered around a sacred space connected by paths and daylight, connected by relationships and community.. In these neighborhoods, children and teachers will be honored as individuals and empowered as teams, Our goal like theirs is to execute this vision of community through nested neighborhoods. My Task was to assist the team by drawing Revit plans, making physical concept models, research, helping with some design decisions such as skylight options, chapel options and classrooms layout options Nested Neighborhood

Integrated Sciences Building
The new building will be a center for integrated sciences, enabling ESD students and teachers to engage each other and the curriculum in overlapping environments of discovery, inquiry, experimentation, and design. As an active participant and collaborator, the building itself will adjust, adapt, and evolve as it inspires, supports, and reveals learning and growth. My Task was mainly to execute plan drawings, research and support the team with any deliverables such as concept models and preparing presentation drawings. The scope of the project covered Concept Design

Mood Bust
Moods / Time
This bust or Mood Bust as I call it, was the initial inspiration and study model used to guide the process of my Rosecrance design located at the top of the portfolio. It is a metaphor for the human condition. I tried to understand the state of nature in relationship to the human soul. So I made this life scale sculpture representing the thinker at its most perfect and imperfect state using concrete as the base, air dry clay for the head, wood for the frames and wire to represent the lapse of time right behind the head.

Phenomenology
This editing device is a study of asymmetry and phenomenology This two headed bust has two monoculars inside in an L shape manner and a mirror to direct the view 90 degrees in the horizontal plane The design is meant exclusively to be a piece of interaction and its setting would be fixed. When looking through the eye/monoculars the viewer would see a reflection of his/her self looking at the bust from a different perspective.
