Step 1: State your physical request: “Everyone please stand up and push in your chair.”

Step 2: Time frame: Announce when the group will start an activity: “In 20 seconds…”

Step 3: Select a trigger word or sound: “When the music starts…” OR “When I say go…”

Step 4: State and give the directions: “Touch the back of fifteen chairs and stop.”
