Juniors deserve a better way to learn to play golf!

Most junior programs are incomplete. That is why the Pumpkin Ridge Jr. Academy uses the Operation 36® Development Model which centers around playing golf. The goal is to help your junior shoot par (36) or better for 9 holes.

STEP ONE: Learn Skills in Fun Classes

We make learning the game feel like a game! Your junior will make friends and learn skills in fun engaging classes.

STEP TWO: Play Their First 9 Holes

Coaches will provide your junior with a 9 hole playing experience with the Op 36 Model.

STEP THREE: Train & Track Progress

The Op 36 Mobile App is your families guide to practicing and playing golf outside of classes.

PRO SHOP - GHOST CR GOLF RULES & TIPS

Sebastain Stewart

Golf Season is here! Finally! Now that spring has started and the weather has started to turn you will have to tee it up a beautiful Ghost Creek, play off the new te boxes that we have all been patiently waiting to use, and get ready to make some low scores and good memories! We will also be starting a weekly game at Ghost Creek that will be open to anyone that would like to participate Please reac out to sstewart@pumpkinridge for any questions!

I know you need to get some work in on that golf swing and we all need some course management reminders after a long winter Go see your Ghost Creek Head Golf Professional or email (sstewart@pumpkinridge.com) and we will get you back on track!

PRO TIP: More of a drill for you while you are at home and wanting to work on something without a golf club. A lot of golfer's tendency is to put pressure on their trail toe when making a backswing causing the head to dip from the original hip line These two drills will help you understand how to not get your weight on your trail toe in your backswing.

Door Frame Drill: Set up your golf stance in a door frame without a golf club and have your head slightly away from the door frame, set your hands across your chest, and you will create a backswing turn in the doorframe. The goal is to not have your head crash into the doorframe while you make your turn, this will create a proper backswing turn and allow for your arms to have space to swing down and through the golf ball as opposed to when you dip your head down you will have to make unnecessary compensations to make contact on your follow swing.

The 2nd part of this drill would be to do the exact same drill but when you get to the top of your turn you will hold it and tap your trail toe a couple times to ensure you physically have no weight on your toes in your backswing. This will keep your head from dipping and also keep your lower body from early extension

Final note: Do this drill without a club a handful of times until you feel comfortable and then yes you can absolutely use this on the range with a club.
