This past February, we applied our annual mole cricket insecticide and will apply a granular fertilizer with Ronstar as pre-emergent herbicide. These two applications will help set the foundation for another growing season at Black Diamond. With a warm spring, we plan on opening up thinner areas on some of the fairways with a slicer to assist in a quicker green up This is all in an effort to promote the turf and get it growing.

Cultural programs on greens will also increase as we enter spring Light topdressing, vertical mowing, and venting will be common through the month. We be working around the member tournaments with these practices. Short grass on the Ranch will be foliar fertilized weekly this month and foliar fertility on shortgrass on the Highlands and Quarry will continue as well
