Spring is officially here! Looks like we are out of the cold spell and ramping up for the final month of our busy season with one more major event still to come The golf courses are in phenomenal shape and I hope to see you all out there tuning up your games and enjoying this amazing weather in April.

March was a very busy month with a lot of events at both Clubs. We also hosted the LIV Golf Event at The Gallery which allowed us to showcase Dove to a lot of our Gallery only Members. I hope that you all enjoyed the week playing over here and hope to see more of you in the future.

We kicked off the month of March with our ICON Desert Classic and had some good weather following the four inches of snow that fell the day prior. We are looking to move this event next year to the first weekend in May so please be on the lookout for that.

We hosted our March 9 & Dine on Thursday, March 9th and had a fantastic turnout for the golf and the dinner. We had a 3-way tie for First Place and after the scorecard playoff our winners were: Greg and Caye Norwick and Jamie and Shari Barney. Thank you to everyone who participated!

To wrap up the month of March we hosted our 2023 Women’s Member/Guest from March 23rd – 25th. We had 14 teams vying for the title this year and it was an amazing event from the start to the wild finish! We opened the event with our skills challenge on Thursday evening. The skills challenge included a 100 foot putt and an 85 yard closest to the pin competition. We then finished it with the always popular Blast OFF! Our winners for the long putt went to Sherry Hewitt and Laurie Block, Closest to the Pin went to Kim Klippstein and Heidi Beck and our 2023 Blast OFF champs were Priscilla Park and Sue Basso.

The event itself was hard fought and the shootout included 7 teams Our Flight Winners were Priscilla Park and Sue Basso and Deb Boe and Amy Myers The shootout ended up going four extra holes to determine our 2023 Champs which set a record for Dove with the most holes played in a shootout

Recipe Of The

Banana Creme Pie

Ingredients:

¾ cup white sugar

⅓ cup all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon salt

2 cups milk

3 egg yolks, beaten

2 tablespoons butter, salted

1 ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract

1 (9 inch) baked pastry shell, cooled

4 bananas, sliced

Steps:

1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)

2 Combine sugar, flour, and salt in a saucepan Gradually stir in milk Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens. Continue to cook and stir for 2 more minutes, then remove from the heat.

3 Place egg yolks in a medium bowl; whisk in a small amount of the hot milk mixture until smooth, then gradually whisk egg yolk mixture into the saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla

4 Fill pastry shell with sliced bananas; pour pudding mixture on top to cover.

5. Bake in the preheated oven until filling sets, 12 to 15 minutes Chill pie for 1 hour before serving
