We are approaching the halfway point in our 2022/2023 season and hopefully are going to be experiencing the type of weather that we all live here for in the coming weeks. Our weather pattern has not been ideal in the last six weeks as we have experienced numerous frost delays and some colder temps than we have grown accustomed to here in the desert However, even with the colder day time temperatures the action on the golf course has been heating up, and we have already crowned a few champions of the 2022/2023 season!
Below is a recap of the February events that were completed and also a look forward to our March and April events still to be held Remember to sign up ASAP for any events you would like to participate in during the coming months and a big congratulations to all our champions from the past month!

¾ teaspoon kosher salt (4 5 grams)
¾ teaspoon baking soda (3.7 grams)
1½ cups buttermilk (337 grams)
Steps:

2. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface, kneading it gently about 4 times (cont )
3. Pat the soda bread dough into a round disk. Lightly sprinkle with flour, score with a large X on the top, and puncture a slit in every quarter
4. Bake Irish soda bread in preheated oven for 15 minutes, then turn the oven down 50° F and continue baking for another 25 minutes until the crust is golden brown Turn the soda bread over and bake for 5 more minutes until tapping the bottom of the loaf makes a hollow sound.
5 Serve warm with Irish butter or jam and enjoy!
