Membership Update
Karie Rogers
Spring is among us and what a beautiful time of the year Working at a country club during the spring is the BEST! It is a time when all our members start coming back up to the course after the long, cold months We can’t wait for the longer days, greener grass, and warm weather to welcome you all back to the Club
This is also a perfect time to invite your friends out to Shadow Hawk! If you have a friend, family member, coworker, or neighbor who you think would make a great member, please let me know We would love to extend a Spring Time invitation on your behalf to join the club! Shadow Hawk currently has 1 membership opening available before we go back to the waitlist However, even when we are on a waitlist, we would love to speak with you about your guests and the future openings that may arise from time to time
Can’t wait to see you and your friends at the Club! Thank you and thank you for being a member at Shadow Hawk!

Turf Talk
Brad Seiler

May has arrived! The month of May will be a very busy and very exciting month for all of us.
Several on course projects will take place this month. Bridge work on holes #7 and #17, and erosion work on hole #17. By the time you are reading this, the cart path work on holes #5, #13, and around the club house should be completed.
As for the course, we will be ramping up our cultural programs. You will notice an uptick in verticutting, brushing, topdressing, spot aerification, etc.
We will evolve from using our turf groomers on greens to true verticutting. We will now be able to start verticutting tees due to warmer, more predictable temperatures, ensuring growth versus green-up and recoverability.
Justin Engel and I will be re-defining fairways, approaches, tees, and aprons, where applicable, to return the course closer to the intended design. This will improve aesthetics, definition, and playability.
On behalf of myself and our Agronomy team, we thank you for your patience and continued support.
