It is wonderful to see everyone that has returned to their home in southwest Florida This month will be filled with fun activities and we hope to see many of you participating I will be teaching Caribbean line dancing by the poolside on February 25th and on February 24th I will be giving a presentation about the behind the scenes of a cruise ship It is a detailed look at the operation of a ship including the galley, bridge, engine room and crew quarters

This will be the first in our lecture series that will be offered at Tarpon Cove

If you know of anyone that is interested in becoming a member at Tarpon Cove please let us know and we will be happy to answer any questions they may have about membership

Tennis Update

We are happy to have our new tennis courts open! The courts and new fencing are beautiful The underground watering is active on all 6 courts

Now that all six courts are open, we are on 90-minute reservation time periods beginning at 7:30 a m We no longer need to water at mid-day but brushing and grooming is still a very important part of maintaining the courts for optimal play The afternoon court times will begin at 1:30 This will be the afternoon starting time for the remainder of the season in order for us to assure the courts are properly groomed and ready for afternoon league and social play Over time we may be tweaking the beginning morning and mid-day start times to reflect the time we are saving in the overall necessary maintenance of the courts Most importantly to all is that we have resumed the 90-minute playing time A new ball machine is available for rent During season the ball machine is available for rent during the afternoon hours Please contact the pro shop to reserve the ball machine
