People report that creative activities can reduce stress, improve mood and build confidence. They’re also an enjoyable way of spending time with others whilst learning new skills.
Arts for Health Cornwall and Penlee House Gallery and Museum are running a series of 10 creative workshops in Penzance for people who are facing difficulties or living with conditions which affect their health and wellbeing. The workshops will take place weekly on Tuesday afternoons, starting in September. Using Penlee’s collection as inspiration, participants will explore and develop their creative skills in different media over the course of the workshops and will also learn about the Newlyn School of painters, whose work is held in the Penlee collection. No previous arts experience is needed.
