The frost is out of the ground and it’s time to think about planting! You can ‘borrow’ seeds to take home and plant. Sidewalk Stargazing: The Transit of Mercury
Join the Dortwood Observatory at the Cobourg Library and view the Transit of Mercury from the Library’s patio! Mercury will be passing in front of the sun, an event that may not re-occur for years. Come view it through one of the Observatory’s telescopes. May 9th @ 10:00 a.m.
Todd’s Musical Petting Zoo
It’s a fun, hands-on experience for all ages. Todd brings his Corry, Pennsylvania collection of more than 100 world folk instruments to be picked up and played by musicians of all ages. Guitars, drums, didgeridoos, charangos, bouzoukis and cajons. Something for everyone. Monday Book Club
This is a reading club for intellectually challenged adults. Each week a Library staff member or guest reader reads from a book selected from the junior collection of the Library. No independent reading is required. We welcome guest readers & new members. Space is limited. Please call ahead if you are interested in attending, 905-372-9271. Mondays @ 1:30 p.m. (holidays excepted) The program is not limited to adults. However, staff read books from the junior collection, so material is suited to ages 10+
