GENERAL INFORMATION, RULES AND REGULATIONS

CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION Every class offered herein which is covered by the Rules and Specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted in accordance therewith. Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions

at the Preliminary Level or above andCombined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting

Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider,driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at

Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon

payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes

limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA

Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership

in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport

Horse Breeding classes.

Federation Entry Agreement:

By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach,

Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree

that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the â&#x20AC;&#x153;Federationâ&#x20AC;?) and the local rules of Competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of

the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate

under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance

of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts, broadcasts, internet, film,

new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, cove age or benefit of

the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a

way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use,

including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of

Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in

New York State. See GR908.4.

In all classes wherein the rules of USEF do not apply, Management shall settle any dispute or question that may arise and its decision shall be final. Exhibitors and other participants herein, as a condition to admission, consent to such method of settlement. MANAGEMENT reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally and to cancel any entries, disqualify exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries and cancel awards of prizes, without claim for damages. MANAGEMENT reserves the right to reschedule, combine, close, delete, or add any classes or change the listed officials as may be necessary and in the best interests of the show. Neither the show committee/staff, the show, EQUESTRIAN SPORT PRODUCTIONS, LLC, WELLINGTON EQUESTRIAN PARTNERS, LLC, LITTLEWOOD FENCES, INC., STALL WATCH, Palm Beach Holdings, Inc, the show manager, the show sponsors, any show officials, nor any sanctioning body will be responsible for any accident, damage, loss or injury to mount, owner, rider or other persons or property. MANAGEMENT reserves the right to modify any policy or rules set forth in the prize list in an emergency situation which may require modification or restrictions for the welfare of the horse or rider. NON-MEMBER FEES AND HORSE REGISTRATION For those exhibitors who are not current members of the USEF and USHJA a $30 fee per organization will be added to each entry. In addition each horse regardless of whether the owner is a current member of the USEF or USHJA must pay a $30 horse registration fee to the USHJA. Forms will be available in the office. You can go to www.ushja.org for more information. Those exempt from these fees are listed in GR901.9 1-9.

OPPORTUNITY CLASSES All Opportunity classes will be held in accordance with GR821. Riders/drivers/handlers entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation membership requirements and are not required to pay a non-member fee but are required to list the Federation membership number if the participant is a member.

ENTRY PROCEDURE ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN U.S. FUNDS. The following fees must accompany the entry form for each show entered. Stall and/or non-stabling fees & nomination fees Entries not accompanied by the fees shown above will be considered POST. Entries will no class numbers on them will be considered POST Entries postmarked and/or submitted after the closing date will be POST and and must be accompanied by a $25 post entry fee per horse. 6. Entry fees or open blank check or credit card number should be sent with the entry blank. 7. Back numbers will not be given out without a SIGNED OPEN CHECK or signed Credit Card Authorization Form or each show submitted to the Horse Show Secretary. 8. Numbers will not be given out until entries have been submitted to the show AND OWNERS, RIDERS AND COACHES OR TRAINERS HAVE SIGNED ALL ENTRY BLANKS. 9. A number will be assigned each horse/rider combination and will stand for the entire show series. 10. Entries with incorrect numbers may be excused from the ring. 11. All accounts must be settled after each show. Open Checks will be filled in 24 hours after the show

POST ENTRIES Post entries will be accepted up to two classes before any scheduled class that is not full unless otherwise indicated. Entries postmarked and/or submitted after the closing date will be Post. Entries not adhering to the entry procedure above will be post and will pay a $25 post fee. Post entries are meant to be a deterrent to being late. They are not just a way for the show to make money.

PRIZE MONEY Prize money will be credited to the entry's show account after the results of the class winnings are posted or a check will be mailed to the owner at the address on the entry blank within thirty days after the show, thereby ending the show's responsibility. Any class that has a number of entries required, will have the payout based on the number of on time entries and post entries will not be included in the number used to determine the payout. Classes that do not have enough entries to pay out prize money will either be cancelled, or run without prize money at the exhibitors option. Any class with less than 4 entries will not pay prize money and entry fee will be as listed. CANCELLATION OF CLASSES Management will not refund entry fees if classes are cancelled due to severe weather, an emergency or some other act of god. If the entire show is cancelled due to severe weather or an emergency, management will refund those class fees.

NON-MEMBER FEES AND HORSE REGISTRATION For those exhibitors who are not current members of the USEF and USHJA a $30 fee per organization will be added to each entry. In addition each horse regardless of whether the owner is a current member of the USEF or USHJA must pay a $30 horse registration fee to the USHJA. Forms will be available in the office. CHANGES BEFORE NUMBER IS ISSUED PLEASE FILL OUT ENTRY BLANK CAREFULLY AND CORRECTLY. Changes in classes, horse and/or rider will be allowed without penalty prior to the number being issued. Once the number is issued the normal rules for scratches and/or adds will apply.

SCRATCHES All Scratches must be done in the show office on the official form, by letter, or by fax and must be received as outlined below. All scratches except for class scratches noted below will be charged a $25 processing fee. SHOW SCRATCHES for the entire show will be accepted, if submitted to the show office no later than the day before the first class of the show, will be charged a $25 processing fee. DIVISION SCRATCHES for full Divisions will be accepted if submitted to the show office no later than the day before the first class of that division, will be charged a $25 processing fee. CLASS SCRATCHES will be accepted if submitted to the show office no later than the day before the class for a fee of $10 per class. Scratches to individual classes in â&#x20AC;&#x153;Aâ&#x20AC;? rated divisions will not be allowed. SCRATCHES AFTER AN ORDER OF GO IS POSTED WILL RECEIVE NO REFUND. THERE WILL BE NO CREDIT FOR SAME DAY SCRATCHES. VET SCRATCH: Accepted if a horse is injured or becomes ill prior to the class or classes entered. The entry fee in this case will be refunded less the process fee, upon the receipt of a certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian and presented to the show office no later than two classes before the scheduled class. Only certificates signed by the official show veterinarian will be accepted after the starting of the first class of the show, will be charged a $25 processing fee. NOMINATION, STALL, PADDOCK, GROUNDS, & PRACTICE RING FEES will not be refunded under any circumstances.

ADDS All Adds must be done in the show office on the official form, by letter, or by fax and must be received prior to the start of the class., and MUST be acknowledged by the office. Class adds will be charged $5 plus the original entry fee if adding the day of the class. There will be NO additional fee for adding PRIOR to the day of the class. Day adds will be placed at the top of the order of go. All adds will be on a standby basis and will be accepted based on the amount of time available after all class entries are calculated.

FOUND SHOWING IN CLASS NOT ENTERED Any exhibitor found showing in any class in which he/she has not been entered will be disqualified from that class, fined $25.00 plus the post entry fee and suspended from the rest of the show until the fine and entry fees are paid. OFFICE FEE Each horse will be charged a $25 fee per horse show.

NON-NEGOTIABLE FUNDS Any non negotiable funds will be charged a $100.00 process fee per occurrence plus up to 1.5% interest per month. This will include declined credit cards and returned checks.

DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS Current USEF Rules relating to drugs and medications will be enforced. A payment of $16.00($8.00 drug & med., $8 USEF fee) for each horse entered should be included with entry fee. Exception: Holiday and Horses Horse show will pay a $15.00 fee.

MEASUREMENT AND AMATEUR CERTIFICATION All exhibitors in the Junior Hunter, Pony Hunter or any Amateur sections must present their Measurement Card/Amateur Certification to the Secretary BEFORE numbers may be picked up. Amateur Owners and Adult Amateurs must list their age on entry blank. All Junior and Pony Hunters that do not possess a current card/form will be measured at 8:30 a.m. each show day provided that the veterinarian is on the show grounds and not “on call”. If the veterinarian is “on call” the measurement time will be between 8:30 A.M. and 9:30 A.M. on Saturday morning. Any changes to the measuring schedule will be posted in the horse show office. Those needing to be measured must be there at the appointed time or they will need to make arrangements with the horse show veterinarian and will be responsible for paying his/her fees. Ponies shown in the rated Regular & Green Pony Hunter sections may not be shown by an adult at this show. GROUNDS FEE All NON-STABLING entries will be charged a grounds fee of $25.00. This charge will be automatic to any horse or pony that is not paying a stall fee to the show. Exception will be allowed for any Leadline Entry or Walk-Trot Entry.

STALLS Stall reservations and payments are due no later than one week prior to show. If reservations are made and paid for using our online system at http://esp.showgroundslive.com one week before the start of the show you will be eligible to receive a $30 discount per stall. There are NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS on stabling discounts. Stabling will be $225 per “AA” show, $115 per “A” show, and $85 per “C” show. Post stalls if available will be an extra $15. Entry is required with stall reservation. If stabling with others during this time period, you will be charged a $25.00 grounds fee per show. Stalls will be ready noon the day before the show unless previous arrangements have been made. Stalls are either permanent wood structure with doors and are 9.5 x 9.5 or canvas under tent and are 9 x 9 with doors and will be assigned as entries accompanied by stall fees are received. On a first come, first serve basis. Stalls are limited and fees must accompany entry to insure reservations. First bedding is not included. Bedding will be available on the grounds on a pre-order basis. All trash is to be placed in the receptacles provided/ not in the manure bins. All manure is to be put in the area provided. All above fees are plus 6 % sales tax. BILLING DISPUTES Any open invoices will be closed by office staff at the end of the show with the method of payment holding the entry. It is the exhibitors responsibility to review their bill and resolve any discrepancies within one hour of the show ending. If disputes are not negotiated within this time frame the bill will stand as is without any further review.

COMPORTMENT Exhibitors are notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the Judges or Officials on the part of any owner, rider, trainer, family member, or groom may disqualify the horse and the owner will forfeit all entry and other fees.

SCHOOLING FEES Ample schooling fences will be provided in designated schooling areas. Schooling areas have an all weather sandy soil footing. There will be organized schooling in the rings at the rate of $20.00 per timed session from 12:00 NOON till 5:00 P.M. the day before the first competition day and at other times as designated by management. The schooling area footing has been designed for longevity between watering & maintenance drags. It is not designed for sharp turns or lungeing. Absolutely NO LUNGEING is allowed in the schooling area. ENTRY'S BACK NUMBER MUST BE WORN TO SCHOOL. EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR NUMBER AND THE NUMBER IS FOR THEIR USE ONLY. ENTRY FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE SHOW SECRETARY BEFORE YOU ARE PERMITTED TO SCHOOL IN THE RINGS OR SCHOOLING AREAS USED BY THESE SHOWS.

CHECK OUT POLICY We would like to encourage all of our exhibitors to use our online check out service. Exhibitors who do not check out either in the office or online by 24 hours after the completion of the show may be charged a surcharge of $10 per entry. This charge would be applied only if prior arrangements have not been made. The web service is available for use anytime during or after the show. If you need help checking out online feel free to contact us by phone or email. ATTIRE Hard hats must be worn by all Junior exhibitors while mounted anywhere on the grounds. All Senior Members must wear a hard hat when jumping. ASTM/SEI approved helmets must be worn by all riders in hunter, hunter seat equitation, jumper classes and while schooling over fences and where jumping is required; USEF GR801. In Equitation classes riders may not wear hard hats with additional adornments. Riders must wear coats in all classes unless otherwise announced. Junior exhibitors are reminded that regulation hard hats are required at all times when mounted and must be buckled. Proper riding attire is required: boots, breeches, riding jacket, shirt with choker or tie.

BACK NUMBERS You MUST wear the back number provided by the show unless prior arrangements have been made. ie. lost number etc. European bridle or breastplate numbers will not be accepted as the only form of a number. If you fail to have your show issued number on your back or pinned to your saddle pad in plain view you may be eliminated from your class. Any participant using our online entry system, still needs to come to the show office and sign their entry blank and obtain a show issued number.

COMPETITION FEES For every horse participating in any competition licensed by the Federation, a $16 Federation fee (12-1-2011) will be collected ($8 shall be an Equine Drugs and Medication fee to provide for research, inspection, and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications and drugs; see GR407.1, .2 and .3). Since Comp. #269388 falls in the 2011 Competition year the USEF Fee will be $15 and the FEI Fee will remain $23. Exception: Horses entered in classes exempted from the Equine Drugs and Medication fee are also exempt from the balance of the Federation fee. A $2.00 Zone Support Fee per horse entered. $23 will be charged for each horse competing in FEI competitions. An IHP fee of $35 will be charged to each horse showing in any Computer Ranked Grand Prix.

JUMP ORDER In all classes over fences management MAY designate the order of go. All orders will be posted by each ring 30 minutes before the class and the one minute rule will be in effect. Riders that foresee conflicts must communicate with the paddock masters involved - don’t rely on radio contact only! Riders are forewarned that the show will not be held up because of trainer conflicts. After order of go in any class is posted there will be no refunds allowed. Jumper classes with a posted order of go will use the following procedure in accordance with JP112.2: the horses names are drawn individually, starting from the first position and then working down POLING We do not allow any sort of manual poling or poling of any type on the competitions show grounds.

EQUINE ZERO LIABILITY FLORIDA SENATE BILL 1658 EQUINE ZERO LIABILITY STATUE: Warning-Under Florida Law an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities.

MEDICAL WASTE & SHARPS In accordance with the 1989 Federal Waste Tracking Act which restricts the disposal of medical waste, Bio Hazardous Medical Waste Containers will be provided in the stable area. All exhibitors and their agents are responsible for the proper disposal of this waste. Sharps will be placed in sharp containers provided. Anyone found discarding sharps in any other manner will be fined up to $250 per instance and held responsible for any fines or expenses incurred by management. Violations to this rule will be dealt with very seriously. Improper disposal of sharps poses a serious health threat to anyone who may come in contact with it. Please make sure that anyone who handles these sharps on your behalf are aware of the responsibility involved. Neither ignorance or language will excuse fine enforcement. If you need additional containers or any assistance with the disposal of sharps, please ask the office or a member of the staff. Thank you for your cooperation.

DOGS Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a leash or otherwise contained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7, as well as issuance of warning cards. GR1301.6 Any dog that is found loose will be detained by the show until a fine is paid. Any dog that disrupts an exhibitor’s round will be required to pay the exhibitor for that round plus a $100 fine to the show. Also, please dispose of all dog waste in the proper containers.

FEED & BEDDING Feed & Bedding will be available by Gold Coast Feed (561-793-4607). No other feed or bedding vendor will be permitted on the show grounds due to insurance & liability requirements of master lease, without the express permission of management. Exhibitors wishing to use another vendor do so at their own risk and must receive permission for that vendor to come on the grounds. Proof of insurance and licenses will be required before permission is granted. Permit fees will apply. No outside deliveries will be allowed between 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM. Storage of feed, bedding, hay, etc. must be within the stall space only. No straw will be allowed without a charge for its separate removal and waste storage.

HORSE SHOW FARRIER No farrier other than the official horse show farrier(s) will be permitted to shoe on the grounds without the express permission of facility management. Exhibitors wishing to use another farrier must request a permit for that farrier. Proof of insurance and licenses will be required before permission is granted. Permit fees will apply.

GOLF CARTS, SCOOTERS & OTHER VEHICLES Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. COMBINING & SPLITTING SECTIONS Sections that are scheduled as split sections will be combined if there are less than four (4) entries in either section unless the section is fully sponsored. If you are interested in sponsorship contact show management the day before the section is started to avoid last minute changes. The show will be in compliance of HU 116 and HU 112-118.

CHAMPION AND RESERVE Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded in all Hunter Sections. The awards will be made to two of the four horses that have acquired the most points in the over fences classes. In addition to these points, only those four horses shall receive full points for ribbons won in the Under Saddle Class. Points will be awarded on the basis of 10,6,4,2,1,l/2 for lst, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th places respectively. All classes are full point classes, except MODEL classes which are l/2 point classes. Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded in all Jumper sections on the basis of points in accordance with JP110.2.a Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded in the Equitation Sectio1 and ns in accordance with EQ112.15.a with the top two riders with the most points being eligible. Champions will receive a prize certificate to be redeemed in the show office.

PROTEST Any exhibitor lodging a protest must first deposit $200.00 for USEF Members or $300 for Non-Members with the Show Secretary, or Steward which sum will be forfeited to the show if the same is not sustained. All protests must be addressed to the Show Secretary or Steward and made in writing, signed by the protester, and filed with the Show Secretary, Show Manager or Show Steward within 48 hours. Funds must be payable to USEF. Protests may also be files with the Federation Hearing Committee as outlined in GR603.1.

Recommended Equine Health Information It is recommended that all horses stabling on the PBIEC grounds arrive between 8:00 am and 5:00 PM. If it is necessary to arrive at any other time you must make arrangements with the show office prior to arrival. 561-793-5867. ESP,LLC management strives to provide an excellent showing environment. An integral part of an excellent showing environment includes healthy horses. Exhibitors, especially those traveling long distances, can contribute to that healthy environment by following some basic recommendations listed below. Please monitor our web site at www.equestriansport.com for any additional and possibly mandatory requirements. 1) A current negative coggins test. Please renew before it expires, and not just before it is necessary to leave the state. It is strongly recommended that all horses be vaccinated for Equine EHV-1 (either modified live or killed vaccine) no sooner than 7 days prior and no later than 90 days prior to entering the show grounds. Most EHV-1 vaccines are only considered effective for 90 days. Check with your veterinarian about which vaccine you use. 2) A current health certificate is required for all out of state horses. A current health certificate is suggested for local horses. All horses should be able to produce proof of vaccine, preferably labeled on these health certificates. 3) You should be able to document your horses normal temperature before arrival. Please do not ship horses with elevated temperatures. It is recommended that you establish a log of temperatures taken at least twice daily. If there is an elevated temperature for more than a 24 hour period, please consult your local Veterinarian immediately. 4) Every effort should be made to minimize stress and commingling of horses shipped long distances. Extra hours on a horse van, or moving from stable to stable is the fastest way to compromise your horses' and your neighbors horses' health. 5) Any horse on the show grounds with a fever of unknown origin or of suspicious origin must be reported to ESP, LLC Management. It is always better to err on the side safety. Isolation stalls will either be available on the grounds or at a local veterinary practice if the need arises. 6) Please take the time to review equine good hygiene practices and impress its importance to your groom in everyday care.

Children's/Adult Amateur Jumper: Open to horses and ponies. The combination horse/rider and rider are not eligible to compete in any jumper class above 1.15m (3’9”) at the same show. Once a horse/rider combination has competed over 1.15m (3’9”), the same horse/rider combination cannot show in a Children/Adult Jumper Classic offering $2,500 or more for 30 days. A rider may show only one additional horse in the Children’s/Adult Amateur Jumper division in addition to those horses owned or USEF leased by the rider. Fences at 1.10m or 3’6” to 1.15m (3’9”).

ADULT AMATEUR WORKING HUNTER Adult Amateur Hunter classes are for amateurs 18 years of age or older showing horses and/or ponies. To be judged on performance, soundness, manners, way of going, and suitability. The Adult Amateur Hunter section may be divided by age of rider and/or height of fences. Adult Amateur Hunters are to be shown over fences at either 3' or 3'3". Riders in this section may enter any Equitation class. Riders who compete in the Amateur Owner Hunter and/or Jumper classes may show other horses that they own in the Adult Amateur Hunters. Horses and ponies exhibiting in this section may cross enter multiple sections of Adult Amateur Hunter and any classes where eligible. Note: The horse may only be shown by one rider in the Adult Amateur Hunter Classic and that rider must be declared prior to the first round of the Classic. Points for Zone Awards earned in a hunter classic will be awarded as follows: 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 6, 5. Horses are not required to be jogged for soundness, but may be jogged at management’s discretion. Zone Awards will be presented annually to the Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35 section and to the Adult Amateur Hunter 36 and over section.

Winners of twenty Talent Search Classes are no longer eligible to compete in the USEF SHOW JUMPING TALENT SEARCH CLASS, but may compete in the Finals until they reach their 21st birthday under Federation rules. Winners of the Finals may continue to compete in the USEF SHOW JUMPING TALENT SEARCH CLASS, in pursuit of additional wins leading towards Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in recognition of these wins, but may not compete in future Finals. Non-U.S. citizens may compete If 50 or more entries are received three hours prior to the start of the class, the class must be divided equally and run as two separate classes. Competitors must use the same horse in both phases. Competitors may ride stallions. The jumping phase of the class shall be held first over a course of at least ten fences from 3’6” to 3’9” (1.10 - 1.15m.) in height with spreads to 5’ (1.50m.). Each course must contain no fewer than three fences set at 3’9” in height. The course must include a double and a triple combination, or 3 doubles. Additional spread fences are required elsewhere on the course. At "AA" rated outdoor competitions, a water-filled obstacle with a 10' (3.05m) to 12' (3.30m) spread (with an option) must be included. At all other rated competitions a liverpool is recommended. Time allowed will be figured at 360 yards per minute; may be timed either electronically or manually. To be judged on style and execution. Time and jumping faults should be taken into consideration in the judge’s evaluation of the rider. In the flat phase, not more than 30 riders at one time will show as a group at the working walk, the working trot sitting, the working trot rising, as well as showing a lengthening of stride; the working canter, and the working canter showing a lengthening of stride. All riders being considered for an award shall be required to show the working canter on the counter lead for at least one full revolution of the arena in both directions, but not more than 12 shall counter canter at one time. Judges may require any additional tests. To be judged on rider’s position and seat and the correctness and effect of the aids. All riders must ride in the first phase offered. At least 20 riders, if available, or 50% of theentries, if that is a greater number, must be called back for the second phase. Rider participation in the first phase, whether it is the jumping phase or flat phase, constitutes entry into the class as a whole, regardless of whether the rider is called back for the second phase. To fill a class, SIX COMPETITORS MUST COMPLETE THE COURSE. SADDLERY. 1. There are no restrictions on saddles. 2. Change of bridle is permissible, between phases. 3. Blinkers are forbidden. 4. No martingales of any kind are permitted in the flat phase. 5. Only running martingales used in the conventional manner are permitted in the jumping phase. Standing martingales, draw reins, or restricted runningmartingales are prohibited. 6. Reins must be attached to the bit(s) or directly to the bridle. SPECIAL CLASSES ELIGIBILITY Exhibitors are responsible for knowledge of the rules pertaining to eligibility and entry restrictions for these Special Classes. Any exhibitor who competes and is then determined to be in violation of eligibility will forfeit their placing, award, and prize money. No refund of entry fees will be made. National Standard will be used in cases where it applies. MEMBERSHIP Membership in any league is not required to compete in these classes. However, membership is required for points to count with the leagues. Please join before the class. POST ENTRY Once an order of go is established, a post entry will be required to go at the top of the order. Any entry in these special classes not received by the closing date of the show will be considered a post entry and the post entry fee listed will be charged. REFUNDS Any class that has a required number of entries that is not met, and is cancelled will entitle all entry & nomination fees to be refunded. If exhibitor elects to compete in a 100% add back class in place of the special class the entry fees will be distributed to the winners at 40%,30%,20%,10% to 1st to 4th place respectively. No refund after order of go is drawn. If after walking the course of any Grand Prix Class, a rider feels he must scratch he will be eligible for 50% of the entry fee only for that class. SCRATCHES Any class with more than one round may not be scratched for any reason after the first round has begun. If a special class is scratched the day before the class is scheduled a full refund will be given. There will be no refunds for classes scratched on the same day. Except in case of Grand Prix classes the above refund rule will apply. ATTIRE Formal attire is recommended in all Classics. AWARDS Winners will be required to ride for presentation of awards and photographs. Winners consent to having their photographs used for any publications pertaining to Esp shows. PRIZE MONEY Prize money will be credited to the entry's show account after the results of the class winnings are posted or a check will be mailed to the owner at the address on the entry blank within thirty days after the show, thereby ending the show's responsibility. Any class that has a number of entries required, will have the payout based on the number of on time entries and post entries will not be included in the number used to determine the payout. Classes that do not have enough entries to pay out prize money will either be cancelled, or run without prize money at the exhibitors option. FEI Stable Area & Schooling: All horses entered in this class are required to be on grounds AND stabled in the official FEI stable area no later than Tuesday by 8:00 am. All horses from this point forward are required to wear their assigned back number whenever leaving the official FEI stable area. FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEIʼs Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences.

At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation. Horses and competitors must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical proce dures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competi tion careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise.

Horses may be imported into the United States provided they are accompanied by a proper veterinary health certificate issued by a full-time veterinary officer of the National Government stating that the horses have: 1. Been in that country for 60 days immediately preceding importation. If the horses have not been in the country 60 days, they are to be accompanied by a like certificate issued by a full-time salaried veterinary officer of the national government of each country in which the horses have been during the 60 days immediately preceding shipment to the United States. 2. Been inspected and found free of contagious diseases and insofar as can be determined exposure thereto during the 60 days immediately preceding exportation. 3. Not been vaccinated with a live, attenuated, or inactivated vaccine during the 14 days immediately preceding exportation. 4. Not been on premises where African horse sickness, dourine, glanders, surra, epizootic lymphangitis, ulcerative lymphangitis, equine piroplasmosis, equine infectious anemia (EIA), contagious equine metritis (CEM), vesicular stomatitis, or Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis (VEE) has occurred during the 60 days immediately preceding exportation, nor have these diseases occurred on any adjoining premises during this same period of time. 5. Not been in a country where CEM is known to exist, nor have had any contact, breeding or otherwise, with horses from such a country, for the 12 months preceding exportation. 6. Been inspected and found to be free of ectoparasites. Horses presented for entry into the United States from countries that are not recognized by the USDA as being free from VEE or screwworm are required to be quarantined for a minimum of 7-days at the port of entry. Quarantine charges are $270.00 per day for each horse for days 1 through 3, and $195.00 for each horse for days 4 through 7 (prices subject to change without prior notice.) If the length of quarantine is extended beyond 7 days, the quarantine rate may be lowered. While in quarantine, tests for dourine, glanders, equine piroplasmosis, and EIA are conducted. Horses that test positive for any of the diseases will be refused entry into the U.S.
