Fall 2020 & Spring 2021 COURSE NAME & CODE AETN480- Graduation Project-1 AETN481- Graduation Project-2 GRADE ADESCRIPTION For Fall 2020 in GP-1, we were required to choose a site in GEM area (Grand Egyptian Museum) for analysis and study. The choice of the site followed lots of research concerning which is the best option for the chosen typology. An analysis has been made for similar projects like the Aten Cultural Park. The process of designing the master plan was done by different layers like; visibility, access and view to insure that we have the best design possible. Based on the results of the analysis, a master plan design was conducted with five land lots for each project to be designed separately in GP-2. For Spring 2021, we were required to present the five projects after completion with the master plan design as well. MY ROLE • Conducted many field trips with my group. • Worked on the presentation boards using InDesign and Photoshop software. • Worked on the .RVT file of the master plan. • Worked on the group flyers of the Aten Cultural Park. 10

CONCEPT STATEMENT

Inspired by the sun disk (Aten), which was central to the pharaonic culture, Aten cultural park is designed to act as a central CATALYST for touristic activities between the pyramids plateau and the GEM, as well as act as the heart of cultural, business, and recreational activities in the area. The form is generated by following the patterns of the clashing FORMAL & INFORMAL areas and the resulting constant SHIFTING in the arrangement of the surrounding roads network.

FOSTER FACILITY CARE CENTER FOR DISABLED CHILDREN* SOUR MAGRA EL EYON

INDIVIDUAL PROJECT SEMESTER Spring 2020 COURSE NAME & CODE ARCN307- Architectural Design-6 GRADE P DESCRIPTION Nursing homes offer the most extensive care a child can get outside a hospital. They offer help with custodial care--like bathing, getting dressed, and eating--as well as skilled care. Skilled nursing care is given by a registered nurse and includes medical monitoring and treatments.

CONCEPT “BRANCHING FROM A CENTER” is the main idea which resembles Sor Magra El Eyon in some ways, by lifting the kids up because of their disorders in a way similar to how Sor Magra El Eyon used to lift water up to Salah El Din Castle. This works as a PATH OR A SPINE to support the INTROVERTED APPROACH of this project; the spine is the kids presenting a house to the kids in its way of behavior. My goal is to INTEGRATE the INTIMACY of a house within the city for the kids to heal properly. This project is for children with psychatric and psychological disorders. * This project was chosen to compete in the National Training Academy Competition in January 2021. 14

PART 01: EXHIBITION HALL This project is addressing the technique of how to create an architectural space by selecting a structural system with specific configuration thus creating a form that can host a set of functions. We chose one of three structural systems; wide span frames, folded plates and tensile pneumatic structural systems.

Layout

We explored each system`s basic fundamental characteristics, basic elements, load transmission, limitations and advantages, material specifications and matching building types. The structure systems was discussed in view of geometric forms, whether linear or spatial, creating basic forms that could be complete or incomplete, modular grids or organic, order of repetition, spans and grids and all possible steps to create a 3D model.

MY ROLE • Conducted many field trips with my group. • Worked on the presentation boards using InDesign and Photoshop software. • Worked on the design of the library on the Revit Software. • Worked on the recorded video for our idea.

It is an application for the topics of farmers that are taught in some of the workshops in the library, besides it is a source of vegetables and fruits that the library needs to return food for the homeless.

The library operates in a continuous cycle that maintains the financial movement within it, from paying participation fees of visitors, to converting them into materials for other requirements.

GRADE P DESCRIPTION We were required to choose a problem from our surrounding community and solve it. The problem can or can’t be architectural or urban related.
