NIDO

A NEW GENERATION OF BEACH CLUB

The concept of a beachside venue usually conjures up a particular look and ambience, but as the Mosh Group shows, the genre can be highly varied and designed to cater to different audiences. The newest venue to do just that is Nido, and it hasn’t come a moment too soon!

When Melanie Benarfa was headhunted by Albert Beniflah and Carmen Navarrete to join the Mosh Group it came as a very pleasant surprise. After many years as a general manager of beach clubs, she was indeed the ideal person not only for the operational management of their new project, but also for its development, and has enjoyed working with its team of young, innovative people.

“Nido is a challenge that I relish,” says Melanie. “In truth, this is a dream job in which every aspect of my travels and work experience comes together beautifully. Not only do I get to manage a fantastic new-concept beach club in Estepona, but I’ve also been involved in its development – from styling and décor to layout, operational and marketing aspects, not to mention the actual experience that we are going to offer our guests.”

Where Mosh Fun Kitchen is trendy chic, Momento a superstylish nightlife venue, Motel Particular a refined private dining club and Playa Padre exudes a laid-back beach vibe, Nido presents a refined beach environment designed around the 30-60 age group. “This means that the ambience is a little more relaxing, family friendly and the experience one of languid pampering in a beautiful seaside setting with stunning views, where the eye traces the shoreline as it curves towards the Rock of Gibraltar and the towering mountains of North Africa. ”In keeping with this, Nido extends a very earthy elegance characterised by natural colour tones and textures.” ›

“Nido represents a new lifestyle concept – with a return to nature, authentic, sensory experiences and time spent with friends and family. For this reason the décor is comfortable, stylish and welcoming, the service levels we aim for far above the norm and the gastronomic offer one of the many elements that make Nido stand out.” The restaurant and poolside waiter service focus upon an uncomplicated modern interpretation of gorgeously prepared and presented Mediterranean dishes created from choice local fish, seafood, natural produce and inspired seasoning.

A DAY BY THE SEA…

“Imagine a gorgeous setting, amazing views, ambient vibes in the air, delicious food and your every wish taken care of. It’s the epitome of the modern beach club: chilled, stylish, friendly, natural and yet uncompromising when it comes to quality and service. So expect to be impressed by the staff, the bar service and a gastronomic approach built around the finest produce. All our ingredients are fresh from the market or our own Villa Santee organic garden.”

Combined with the sensual forms of traditional Mexican handcrafted Chucum Adobe-style architectural detailing, it makes for quite a setting in which to experience a special day by the sea. “Nido is family-friendly, but it will also feature live entertainment, and events geared more to adults, as this is a very flexible venue capable of varying its offering to create different experiences and keep it fresh and new,” says Melanie, who will be working hard to ensure just that.

OPENING THIS SUMMER

Nido opened to the public on the 21st of July, with an August party to be announced. “It will be a fun, stylish affair – and expect it to be different too.” What’s more, Melanie and her team are gearing up for the summer, yet unlike many beach clubs, Nido will remain open beyond the typical season with an adapted offer to suit the various times of year. “Thanks to the strength of our restaurant and the ambience we are creating, it will be a great place to be throughout the year, not just during the summer.” The head chef, Oscar Cuevas, plays an important part in this, as his focus on quality dishes designed around fresh produce will form one of the key ingredients of Nido – the others being the incredible location, the relaxed chic ambience and the team led by Melanie.

“We want to make Nido the place where special days are spent and memories made. From here, the view across the sea to Gibraltar and North Africa is something else, so we’ll be welcoming people for sunset drinks that will take your breath away.”

One thing is certain, Nido is set to make a mark and become the kind of beachside venue up-andcoming Estepona has been missing for some time.
