Golden Globe-winning actress Sandra Oh stars as Ji-Yoon Kim in new comedy The Chair as she takes up her new post as Chair of the English Department at prestigious establishment Pembroke University. The series explores the challenges she will experience being the first Asian woman to hold such a lofty position, aided by close friend and confidant, Professor Joan Hambling (Taylor). The miniseries will feature six half-hour episodes launching on 20th August.

Based on the best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty, Nine Perfect Strangers is set at a remote Health and Wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. The story brings together nine stressed individuals in need of therapy who gather for a 10-day retreat at Tranquillum House. However, all is not as it seems to be and the guests are about to discover many secrets about each other and the resort’s mysterious Russian director, Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman).

Season 2 does not follow on from the first series and will also feature a stellar cast including Kit Harrington, Tobias Menzies, Sophie Okonedo, Anna Paquin and Minnie Driver. As with Season One, in which we saw Anne Hathaway and Dev Patel among many others, expect more stories of love, loss and heartbreak. All eight 30-minute episodes will be released on Friday 13th August, with many filming locations involved: New York City, Albany, Troy, Schenectady and Dublin Ireland.
