The LumiMax PL® Tabletop emits high intensity pulses of filtered light at different wavelengths, specific for each condition, and acts on the subdermal layer to generate heat in a controlled manner, offering a variety of treatments tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
The market’s most sought out treatments are now available in a compact, versatile and incredibly effective equipment. The new LumiMax PL® Tabletop is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis to provide maximum efficiency and safety. This process consists of heating up and destroying a target chromophore (light sensitive cells), without damaging the surrounding tissues. Once they have been destroyed, the body naturally eliminates these undesired structures. In long-term hair removal treatments, the light emitted is absorbed by the hair’s melanin, significantly increasing its temperature to 70° C and destroying its germinating matrix. Depending on the treatment being performed with the LumiMax PL® Tabletop, the target chromophores responsible for the light beam absorption could either be: the skin’s melanin, the hemoglobin in the blood vessels or the porphyrins in the acne lesions.
