HU NT ING & F I S H I N G The Estevan and surrounding area boasts great opportunities for anyone with the outdoors in mind. Hunting and fishing is very popular and are made possible through the hard work of the employees at Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment and volunteer organizations like the Estevan Wildlife Federation. Conservation officers work hard to protect and manage our natural resources while the EWF (Estevan Wildlife Federation) works hard to sustain natural habitat for our fish and wildlife and help educate the public, especially our youth, so that we have fish and wildlife for generations to come.

F ISH ING Fishing is a favorite pastime in the Estevan area. Rafferty, Boundary and Alameda Dams are excellent fishing water bodies in the

immediate area. Many locals spend time on the Souris River at Woodlawn Regional Park for some great shore fishing. Boundary Dam is well known for its Largemouth Bass fishery, the only location in Western Canada where you can fight the mighty Largemouth Bass. Fishermen travel for hours to enjoy the experience. A local stocked fishing pond, Pit â&#x20AC;&#x153;Câ&#x20AC;? is a great spot to catch Trout. Each year it is stocked with

Estevan and area’s upland game bird populations vary between years. The Estevan Wildlife Federation(EWF) maintains an extensive winter feeding program made possible through its many volunteers, keeping the pheasants and grouse numbers healthy. Pheasants are also raised by the EWF for release each summer. Some of these birds are also bought by local landowners and companies like Westmoreland Coal, and are in turn released on their lands to help keep populations stable.

It is a beautiful 18 hole course that is both challenging and entertaining. The course recently won a few titles including the 2015 Facility of the Year from PGA Saskatchewan and Head Professional, Amanda Minchin came home with the Teacher of the Year.

The Proshop has cart rental, club rental and lessons that will help you bring your â&#x20AC;&#x153;Aâ&#x20AC;? game to the course. The course has a driving range, and putting greens. Dress codes are in effect on the course. Senior and junior rates are available. The entire yardage of the course is 5083 - 6729 and it is a par 72 course.

This course has a brand new redesigned back nine, full of water and dog legs. A full service clubhouse with restaurant and bar provides excellent service to golfers. It also can be rented for private functions.
