Inspiration
A plane figure with five straight sides and five angles
Personal relationship with number 5 therefore choose pentagon.
Pentagon
5 is representation of a microcosm of human.
Interest in geometric shape and how geometric shape can change into organic pattern.
There are no end point in pentagram (the star shape) it is a symbol of integrity and srenght.
Cell 1 Cell 1 is created withe 4 pentagons. I first created two pentagons overlapping together and than reflected the same thing and lined the red togethers so that there are one
Cell 3
highlighted color to catch peoples attention. Black and red can be too strong but by giving them transparency and duplicate it together made very modern color.
Cell 2 Cell 2 is far the most simpliest design that I have created. This decision has made to see how simple patterns and two colors can make different feeling. Even though
it is simple design, I added multifly effects to create little design aspect to the cell which helped to see the shape clearly.
Cell 3 is has most amount of pentagons and use of colors. I focused to use the warm tone color so that this cell can give different atmosphere. This exploration showed
me that just by using different colors onto same pattern will give totally different atmosphere and has infinite possiblity to change.
Cell 4 Cell 4 is futher exploration made from cell 2. I added another pentagon rotated about 45 degree. This pentagon also has multifly effect and overlapped. It was really interesting to see
that how cell 2 feels very different from cell 4 just by adding another pentagon. This cell gives unique balance of color and shape.
Warm Tone The colors that I have used are what I want to show as personality. It is bright, solid, colorful and confident. The blue shows clean and simple where red shows solid and sturdy passion. By duplicating this colors shows the confidence of working together.

Pattern1 Pattern 1 is made with repeated cell 4. Cell 4 is repeated horizontally and it was flipped upside down and placed slightly to the side. So simply the two lines of patterns are repeated
continuosly. I like the uneven space between the pattern and the block of red created by repeating and flipping the patterns. The colors works well in this pattern.
Pattern2 Pattern 2 is developed with cell 3. This is most complicated pattern as it is made with a cell that has smallest shape and most amount of shapes. However, as there
are no overlapping in color so this pattern is something that can be concentrate in color. This pattern has warm atmosphere as it used warm tone colors.
Pattern3 Pattern 3 is created using cell 3 repeated continously. Cell 3 is reflected upside down and than repeated. I like the simplicity of the pattern and how only two colors can
make different feeling to it. It almost looks like lots of butterflies on the pattern therefore it could work really well with the light and also attracts lot of female consumers.
Pattern4 Pattern 4 is also created with cell 4. First, I flipped the pattern horizontally and than made repeated again and again. What is good about this pattern is that it has
least negative space therefore it can purely concentrate on the pattern colors without distraction of the natural light color. And the even negative space creates delicate finish.
Logo2 Logo1 This logo is created by seperating all the sections in the cell 4 and unifying the colors. Therefore there are repeating shapes but by changing the spaces and places of the same shapes, it creates more dynamic shapes compare to the original cell. Even though there are more parts because the colors has been unified in to three solid color, it is no longer hard to differenciate the shape and more clear. the Simplicity of the color cleans the design alot.
This logo is further development made from logo 1 where I placed main pentagon of each shape into same place. This shows the clear difference that where the seperated parts were placed. I also added the multyfly effects to show the dept of the logo.
Logo3 This logo is the most simplest design from all three. I unified the color and also eliminated the duplicated shapes. From this, even thought the shapes are unified into one big shape, still we are able to see that there were three pentagons in the big shape.

+ Curtain Curtain is a piece of material suspended at the top to form a covering or screen, typically one of a pair at a window. This product exploration is widely used in curtain market but I think my pattern can also work
very well with the light and curtain and has potential to compete with other product. I think as my pattern, there are many different styles, there will be many choices of colors and patterns which I think custormers are
Cell1 will to have choice on. This is not someting that needs money to keep looking at the pattern but when you just buy a curtain, with the natural resourse, you will be able to enjoy the beauty every morning when sun-
shine. It blocks strong sunlight and give very cheerful atmosphere depends on the curtain designs and colors which can be change with the seasons.
+ Lightbox Lightbox is a flat box with a side of translucent glass or plastic and containing an electric light, so as to provide an evenly lighted flat surface or even illumination, such as in an art or photography studio. As I wanted to
explore different product that is related to the light, I think lightbox is ultimate choice to show the possibility for the pattern showing. There are lots of similarity between the lightbox and my pattern. Lightbox is the best way to show
Cell4 the color of the pattern as it is lighting right beside the pattern. I am expecting that it would work very well as interior decoration product which works in almost all the rooms such as living room, office and even in
cafes or restaurants. It is not just light my pattern on square lightbox but rather I am thinking of making the lightbox the shape of my pattern itself so that it is more finished products.
+ Lamp Lamp is a device for giving light, either one consisting of an electric bulb together with its holder and shade or cover, or one burning gas or a liquid fuel and consisting of a wick or mantle and a glass shade. While I
was researching for different producsts to put my patterns, I found infinite potential from designers light. After that I decided that I wanted to explore more with this lighting source by combining with my patterns. I
Cell2/3 assumed that it will create extra ordinary lightings that is totally different from normal lamp. To maximised the color and shape of my pattern, I decided to make prints on the transparent paper so the the light can
best go throught and project the colors and pattern. When it is lighted in the room, the whole room is expected to be patterned with pentagon.

1.Transparent Curtain
2.Lightbox Decoration
This is example of transparent curtain in the bedroom. When sunshines in morning, as the light comes throught the curtain, it changes the color and make beautiful pattern light in the room.
Lightbox art wall decoration can be widely used as interior decoration. It looks good in home but also in working office, brightens the atmosphere and modern design.
3.Lamp This lamp with unique shape will add casual atmosphere and interesting shapes and colors all over the place. With easily changeable shape will give you variety of choices of patterns and colors.
Here are some of the rules and regulations shown with examples of what I think is cool and what should be punishable.
DO’S 1. As it being used a lot
as a light source, it is good to have shadows underneath the logo
2. As long as the color
of the logo stays the same, it is okay to rotate with various angles. Moreover recommanding to try rotating and experience different styles you can get from it.
