The Willows Spa & Coffee Bar Welcome to The Willows Spa & Coffee Bar! Located just 7 minutes South of Calgary at the entrance of the Lake at Heritage Pointe, you will find us nestled at the edge of a valley. My name is Kathryn and I am the proud owner of the Willows Spa & Coffee Bar. I began my Spa journey in my home in 2001 and in 2007 moved to our existing location in Heritage Pointe. I could never have imagined what my small home-based business would look like 18 years later! Growing a small business in Calgary over the next few years proved to be both challenging and rewarding. Every entrepreneur knows what it’s like to face adversity as it usually comes with the territory and I was no exception to this. I learned a lot through these years and came to realize that I secretly get satisfaction from overcoming the impossible. Ok maybe it’s no secret as I was given a coffee cup by my staff that said “Your enthusiasm scares me”! I did learn to always put your best foot forward during times of adversity, tackle problems one at a time without losing my passion and stride and working harder doesn’t always solve problems. I’m still learning, still growing and still making small mistakes, but I always try to put my best foot forward every day. I loved the business that was growing before my eyes and I was so proud of my very talented team yet I knew something was missing. I wasn’t feeling my “brand”, it just didn’t feel like me. I was asked one day, “what brings you joy?” I answered, laughter, laughter brings me joy and from that moment on I was on a mission to create an environment where laughter could be heard and shared. In 2016, my daughter Jennifer and I teamed up to design an exciting business concept and over countless hours of conversation and sharing ideas fueled by many cups of ROSSO coffee, we created our new and innovative vision of The Willows Spa & Coffee Bar. Fast forward to today and our vision of a Spa that offered high quality services with a Team of experts and a welcoming environment where we share conversation and laughter is here! From our cheese and charcuterie platters to lattes and wine, we encourage conversation, laughter along with our services. I could not have done this journey without my amazing team of experts, my relationships with my customers, the incredible support from my family and the Heritage Pointe Community. It has been the most rewarding adventure to work with my daughter and I cherish every day that I get to spend with her. I am truly grateful for this experience.
