The voice actors bringing Hollywood to Estonian audiences

On March 25th, 2022, the 13th Gran Premio Internazionale del Doppiaggio (the International Grand Prize of Dubbing) lit up the stage of Teatro Eliseo in central Rome.

Over 15 categories, the award’s jury and thousands of spectators celebrated the technical teams of dubbed films and TV shows, and stars whom audiences can identify by the sound of their voice, but not their appearance. For movie-goers who primarily watch films that were originally made in English, it may seem like an odd niche to be celebrating. But their role is critical.
