Whether you’re interested in short films, documentaries, music videos or full length features, our film production course will give you the skills you need to bring your ideas to life. We have excellent links with industry, local businesses and you’ll work within our student production company, UFilms.

UAL CREATIVE MEDIA PRODUCTION

LEVEL 3 - 2 YEARS

WHAT WILL I DO?

You will gain a wide range of on-set experiences including understanding and experiencing directing, cinematography (camera work), editing techniques, screen writing, production planning, production management and many more invaluable film industry techniques.

You will learn using industry standard equipment, cameras, lighting and editing software while carrying out a range of practical assessments in a range of film and television genres including, short film, period dramas, documentary and magazine shows among many others all of which are designed in line with current industry standards.

This course can lead to a range of careers including cinematography, directing, editing, producing and writing. Completion of this course can be the equivalent of 3A* at A Level.

YOU NEED:

A passion for all things film and television and a determination to succeed, four GCSEs grade 4/C or above, including English and/or maths.

WHAT’S NEXT?

On completion of this course you can progress on to a range of media/film production courses at degree level, examples are Film Production, Film & Television Production, Journalism, Screenwriting. Or you could go onto progress to a role within the industry.
