INTRODUCTION TO MOTOR VEHICLE

LEVEL 1 - 1 YEAR WHAT WILL I DO?

You will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours to work on vehicle systems including engines, brakes, steering and tyres so that by the end of the course you will be able to service a vehicle and have gained health & safety and engineering knowledge. You will need to be able to engage with physical activity at an appropriate level and be focussed on your own development and learning.

DIPLOMA IN MOTOR VEHICLE

LEVEL 2 - 1 YEAR WHAT WILL I DO?

You will improve on your knowledge, skills and behaviours from level 1 and move on to subjects which will include servicing, removing and replacing tyres, exhausts, brakes, steering and suspension components. You will study practical skills in our workshop and theory in lectures. You will need to be able to engage with physical activity at an appropriate level and be focused on your own development and learning.

YOU NEED:

A motor vehicle studies qualification at level 1.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Motor Vehicle.

If you don’t have English and maths at GCSE grade 9-4, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main programme of study.

DIPLOMA IN MOTOR VEHICLE

LEVEL 3 - 1 YEAR WHAT WILL I DO?

Learning in a hands-on working environment, you will further develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you learned throughout the level 2 course.

You will learn automotive diagnostic testing and fault finding while combining lectures, presentations and demonstrations.

YOU NEED:

Level 2 Diploma in Motor Vehicle.
