The Prince’s Trust delivered at Stockton Riverside College.

Stockton Riverside College, as part of the Education Training Collective, has a long history of being one of the largest providers of The Prince’s Trust in the North East. Stockton Riverside College delivers both the 12-week Team course as well as our Prince’s Trust Achieve study programme. We have supported over 3,800 young people through the Team and Achieve programmes delivered in Stockton and at community locations across the North East. 82% of the young people participating in our Prince’s Trust programmes progress on to positive destinations: employment, further education, training or volunteering.

PRINCE’S TRUST TEAM PROGRAMME

12 WEEKS

WHAT WILL I DO?

The Prince’s Trust Team programme is a 12-week personal development course aimed at young people aged 16-25 who are currently unemployed. The fast paced, dynamic course focuses on progression and employability with the view to moving young people on to positive outcomes. The course involves young people from all areas of the local community and engages the young people in projects and challenges within their community. The Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills is available at Entry Level 3 and Levels 1 and 2.

Team offers work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week. By the end of the programme, employability skills are developed as well as confidence and motivation, to enable young people to move into work, education or further training.

Team is offered at a variety of centres throughout the North East including Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Bishop Auckland, Catterick and Darlington. Start dates are September, January and May from each centre.

PRINCE’S TRUST ACHIEVE PROGRAMME

1 YEAR

WHAT WILL I DO?

This year-long course is for young people aged 16-18 who are unsure of what vocational area to progress on to or may need to develop their confidence to enable them to progress. Units of study include enterprise, digital skills, money management and customer service. It is delivered from the main college site with a focus on personal progress and enabling all young people to achieve their potential.

The course includes a Prince’s Trust Certificate in Personal Development and Employability available at Entry Level 3 and Levels 1 and 2, two days per week on work placement from January, and maths and English functional skills or GCSE.
