The Alsop Brothers
Brothers, the duo that would easily punch each other out before even getting to the skate park, neither winning their petty arguments. This duo of Bike riders consists of Bailey and Jordan making them the Alsop brothers. The two brothers can be doing trains together happily laying it flat in ever air, then within a split second they are beating the crap out of each other Jordan coming away as the winner most times (eldest does normally win). Both can be the gnarliest guys to watch ride, anything the y ride will make you go “thats bullshit” . Jordan will normally rock up to a park cut a few laps then just boost the shit out of everything leaving the ground 7ft beneath him, where as bailey takes a much more relaxed
easy going way to his bike although his bike deserves to be in a dump. Bailey astounds everyone when he busts out stuff nobody would think he would do burly euros flatter than the Sahara desert. Nobody likes to buy new parts especially these two some how they always bring together a bike so they can still ride bailey can fluke a wheel build like no other if there is a rim, hub and spokes he will somehow accomplish a near perfect wheel. These acomplishments seem like nothing but ease to you folk in the city but to us country folk getting a wheel trued or let alone built is a big ordeal. Saying that though I yet to let Bailey build or touch my wheels. Within the past few months it has seemed like the better Baileys bike
got the better he got and he will most probably tell you this, going from being a simple guy with just simply being satisfied by dropping in, to going huge and doing one of the best euro’s you will ever see. Jordan on the other hand may only ride his bike every second week but after blasting a few airs he will do some bull shit you didn’t expect, like doing a 450 of which he hasn’t done in weeks. Whereever he rides this kind of crap occurs, I rember the first octoberfest all of us ratty country kids rocked up in my hands held a pvc contraption to hold a crappy camera and within 2 hours jordan was hucking his way through the hardest line at adeliade city dirt and the hardest line wasn’t even the biggest.
we were all in utter surprisement of how he didn’t die. bailey takes a much more simple approach. I have heard of stories about bailey getting comfy too quickly and running into posts and other miscellaneous farming equpment even the simplistic table isn’t safe. Beyond all the rough and rugged rider side of it at the end of the day you have to appreciate a family that rides together. Each brother will always have someone to ride with that is each other. Whether they are riding some crappy ditch that I found or working out at the gym there will always be a loving rivalry of which is obtained with always competing against one another. Jordan could say he gets his
no fear attitude towards riding from moto X (I think thats how the cool kids put it). I have never actually seen Jordi ride at a track but from what we get to see on the roads seems pretty gnarly, although thats coming from a non motor bike enthusiast so its probably just another boring ride to all rev heads. With a subtle approach towards digging we could never build our own in town so it is preffered that we we go just down the road to Nathan Parkers this being the first place of which is tyres got dirty. N ot only was it were he first rode dirt jumps concictantly but also where he pulled his first backflip. It was a loose night dudes were drunk up in the trees screaming “white bars do flip”. As the shouts of these pro riders bellowed
throught the trails jordan became one with the world of upside down and did proably an 8ft pig rooter backie which made the whole jam errupt with joy. Jordi has never gone back to the demon within the backflip but one day he will get the better of it and do them all the time. Without actually seeing them ride you will never get the full feeling of what its like to watch an Alsop ride one day I hope you can see it as the way I day and not just some rough kids with metro hair cuts.
