Legacy Showcase

Three films that marked the direction of the festival in the early 2000s have been selected to be a part of this year’s legacy showcase. Two of the films changed the direction of Mexican cinema forever and put Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna on a path to international stardom. The third is Lucrecia Martel’s unforgettable debut feature which has inspired auteurs for decades.
