Spring Copenhagen is a Danish design company with roots in the Scandinavian design tradition. Our name, Spring, refers to the season where everything grows, but also to feelings of rejuvenation, renewal, and the celebration of ideas coming to life.

Passion is at the heart of our company. Continuously moving forward, innovating, and improving drives us to create well-designed interior products that can grow into new classics, age with grace, and last for generations to come.

Chresten Sommer is behind several of Spring Copenhagen’s popular wooden figures. Everything he creates appeals to all genders and all ages. His designs follow several rules: They have to be simple, accentuate the aesthetics of wood, and combine nature with sweet expressions - and of course always be hand-turned.

Eva Stæhr-Nielsen’s style was innovative with rustic materials and shiny glazes. She became world famous for feminine, robust and functionalist craftsmanship. Her small works of art are mainly characterised by organic shapes that encourage us to touch and explore them.

Spring Copenhagen’s first product was a pepper grinder from the 1950s – The Pepper Bird. It was followed by The Pepper Bird’s friend, The Salt Penguin. Our third product was the adventurous trivet Clumsy Hans, inspired by the tale of Clumsy Hans by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.

Our goal is to create well-designed interior designs that can grow into new classics, age with grace and last for generations to come. Designs that are produced in a responsible way, created by some of the best designers and that fulfil our promise: Inspire to better everyday living.
