Not only students Paris, France Design lead for the shortlisted proposal seeking for a new strategy for student housing in the city. By carefully mapping the ‘hot nodes’ of a student life (from university to museum, movie theater to concert, restaurants and social centers...), the project defines intensive zones where compact typologies are implemented to increase the rooms offer. A new set of rules and taxes are also applied to facilitate access to private housing to finally give the students all the chance to succeed.[2011]

Paris VII Facility Paris, France Architect assistant for the limited competition for the design of the reception center/laboratories for Paris University VII. Willing to stand in the new district of Massena but constraint by a tiny site, the project proposed a long unique facade system, wrapping the entire building with shiny Terracotta lovers. [PERIPHERIQUES_2014]

Paris Cleaning Facility Paris, France Architect for the competition for the Environmental Protection Directorate. Located in the heart of the block, with no direct views or access, the 2,600 m² project recreates a rocky landscape, covered by colored ceramic tiles, an abstract field of flowers that all surrounded neighbors will enjoy. A courtyard brings light to the facilities, avoiding direct views on the residential units and preserving privacy for everybody. [KINGKONG_2007]

Le Plan 2) Ris-Orangis, France Architect for the competition for the construction of a cultural center in the city of Ris Orangis. The overall project is conceived around a central and public courtyard, connecting the reception hall to the concert hall and the studios. The folded facades of varying heights and materials create an irregular variation, a perpetual change. [PERIPHERIQUES_2008]

Quintessence Paris, France Architect in charge of the design of the facade for 110 housing units in the Batignolles. The building is ring shaped around a vast and luminous yard so all apartments enjoy a double exposition. The skins are composed by light thick facades that satisfied the ambitious comfort and energetic requirements. On the exterior face, a textured metal protection «clothes» the envelope, whereas the yard facade is covered in a prismatic reflecting skin made of aluminum sheets. Completed [PERIPHERIQUES_2008]

Helsinki Central Library Helsinki, Finland Project Architect for an international competition for the design of the new Central Library. Positioned in the center and challenging a congested context, the 9,000 m² building becomes fully accessible by seating on top a national transportation platform. The Helsinki Urban Brain (HUB) acts as the starting point to rejuvenate the city heart. [MARS_2012]

E-Tree Brighton, UK Project Architect for this international competition for the renovation of the waterfront of Brighton. Based on sustainable thinking, we developed the E-Tree, a photo-voltaic power plant shaped as a natural tree, turning itself toward the sun to produce energy and shape the public spaces. [MARS_2012]

OneWest Bank Towers Chicago, USA Design lead for this international competition asking to rethink the gap left in the un-hold construction site of the Chicago Spire. looking at the real victims of the financial crisis, we propose to offer a new chance to the suburban inhabitant by creating a continuous sloped tower hosting single house pavilion and private gardens. Edouard Branly High School Dreux, France Architect for the limited competition for the renovation and extension of the 6,000 m² high school. The project proposed the re-organization, the thermal comfort upgrade of the existing structure and the creation of a new heart for the student life as a center of the entire complex. [DIAGONAL_2009] Civic & Public Facilities Center Mignières, France Architect for the winning entry of the competition for the creation of a civic, educational and public center for the city of Mignieres. The project proposes the renovation of a 8,000 m² traditional farm around the new public plaza. The central body integrates the city hall, the library and the multi-purpose hall. The western wing extends to create a primary school and the eastern wing is re-shaped to create 10 social housing units. Completed [DIAGONAL _2009]

Disposable House Worldwide Design lead for the shortlisted proposal for the design of tomorrow’s house. Based on the assumption that today’s house does not reflect our way of living, the project proposes a radical new approach, influenced by the biggest success of the capitalist world and transform the house in a product that can be consumed, customized, trashed and recycled as our life evolve. [2012]

Kindergarten Dammarie, France Architect for the winning entry for the construction of a 800 M² kindergarten. Located in the outskirt of the city, the proposal takes advantage of the green surroundings by extending the classrooms in the garden. The public amenity stretches itself along the access road and acts as a protecting layer to create an adequate and quiet environment for the children. [DIAGONAL_2009]

D. House Belin-Beliet, France Architect assistant for the commission of a private house in the South-West of France. The 200 m² pentagonal house is anchored on a deck and open towards the landscape through the cantilever above the living spaces. Each facade is pierced with simple windows reflecting the functions of each room and frame the landscape sensitively. The white facade and the sloping roof interpret the design of the traditional house of the Landes. Completed [KINGKONG_2007]

Walltopia Activity Center Sofia, Bulgaria Project Architect for the winning entry of an international competition for headquarters and leisure center in Sofia. The 8,200 m² building is integrating recreational facilities with the head offices of Walltopia, world leading company for climbing equipment. A compact and efficient spatial organization sees a central spine traverse the site, connecting the scheme’s various programs. Four vast scalable atria offer climbing structures of varying heights and complexities, incorporated throughout the design, submerging walltopia’s staff in the product they are designing, producing and selling. Genorocity, French Pavilion Venice Lagoon Park Venise, Italy Venise, Italy Appointed by Francis Rambert, curator of the French Pavilion for the 11th International Biennale of Venice, the project, entitled ‘Generocity, generous vs generic’ promotes a dialogue on the concept of the generosity. A selection of 100 projects represents the French contemporary architectural production along 3 time frames: yesterday, today and tomorrow. [PERIPHERIQUES_2008]

Co-Design lead for this international competition organized by design magazine 2G. We proposed to shift the larger context and not to create another park in the city but to put the city in the park. Uncover the lagoon and make it a public space, offering cable car transportation over the water, and create an ecological center to educate and protect this exceptional environment. [2007]


Yarkyfest Summer Unit St Petersburg, Russia Design lead for the construction of a summer unit, a hotel room for the Yarkyfest organized by Project Baltia. The project interprets the traditional Russian ‘Dacha’ and lifts the 9m² room to create a multi-functional public space where the guests of the festival can either read a book comfortably lying on a hammock, share a diner at a large table or enjoy the benefit of a Russian sauna. House of Arts and Culture Beirut, Lebanon Architect in charge of the design of the facade for a 17,500 m² cultural center in Beirut, Lebanon. The building is a simple but strong volume, enveloped by a complex and porous skin. This will be an ornamental weaving of mixed materials, symbolizing the cultural crossing between western and eastern influences within the cosmopolitan city of Beirut. [PERIPHERIQUES_2008]

BMW Guggenheim Lab Manifesto United Mumbai, India Project Architect for an in-depth research commissioned by the Guggenheim in collaboration with BMW. Manifesto United Mumbai is an urban vision achieved through implementation of an ecology of solutions at a grass-root level that address the most urgent issues from access to drinking water, to public space and transportation. These individual technologies evolve to become increasingly sophisticated and connected, in order to survive in a context where minimum public space remains and renewal efforts are mostly insular, exacerbating the split city model of Mumbai. Pop Music and Maritime Culture Center Kaohsiung, Taiwan Architect for an international competition for the design of the Masterplan and the Architecture of the new waterfront development of Kaohsiung. Built around the pop music culture and the maritime culture, the project develops a real mixed-use project by adding residential and office on site: a lively and diverse neighborhood then emerges and transforms the industrial harbor into a modern and sustainable city center. Tata New Boisar Boisar, India Project Architect for a housing township comprised of 2600 affordable housing residential units. The two phased 48 acre development contains 1, 2 and 3 BHK five story residential blocks, fifty townhouses and three clubhouses designed to serve a population of over 10,000 residents. The masterplan and the architecture raise the bar on affordable housing in India and set a precedent for future developments. [AECOM_2013]

School for Burma, Thailand Project Architect for an international competition for the construction of a movable school on the Burma’s border in Thailand. The 200 m² project is developed as an exemplary school that fosters a healthy and creative learning environment while providing a much-needed cultural space for teaching under difficult circumstances. Using local materials and economic energy conservation strategies, design solutions are fully integrated to form a highly rational system with a playful atmosphere. [MARS _2011]

Research Masterplanning Residential Hospitality

Rythm Quest Tower Johor Bahru, Malaysia Project Architect for a limited competition for this dramatic 70 levels tower containing 126,000 m² of mixed-use program including luxury residential units, a 5-Star boutique hotel, retail and a conference center. This waterfront development located on Danga Bay will set the precedent for residential waterfront development in Malaysia and serve as the new icon for the city of Johor Bahru. [AECOM_2014]

Retail Tengah Woods, Singapore Project Architect for a limited competition containing over 56,000 residential units in a series of low and high-rise buildings on a 700 ha site. The building design is a dynamic composition of individual unit prototypes positioned as building blocks one on top of the other to create a highly sustainable housing development with state-of-the-art systems designed to be the new benchmark for affordable housing in Singapore. International Museum of Images Chengdu, China Project Architect for the winning entry for the competition for the International Museum of Images. The 85,000 m² project is located in a large new urban development and the future museum acts as a landmark, sitting near the lake. The combination of complex boxes, reflecting the scenography of the museum, shapes the overall volume and creates cuts where entrances and outdoor terraces take place. The museum is organized along a continuous loop, bringing the visitors through the History and the evolution of the image through different Ages. [MARS_2011]

JieFangBei Tower Lue Yai Residential Park Chongqing, China Chongqing, China Project Architect for this 60 ha site containing over 1,000,000 m² Project Architect for this limited competition of program located north of the city center, high above the Jia for the design of a 300 m office tower in the Ling River with grade changes across the site in excess of 80 center of the city. The proposal organizes a rationale layering system accommodating a comfortable transportation layout on Ground floor with a elevated public deck. The buildings cantilever above the public space to offer shaded terraces as an interpretation of the local ‘Qilou’, the Cantonese arcade. The project implements itself in a larger vision, celebrating the industrial past of the city and the connection to the Pearl River. [AECOM_2014]

Foshan High Speed Train Station Foshan, China Architect for the winning entry of the international competition for the construction of Foshan High Speed Train Station. Central piece of a new masterplan for the new city, the station welcomes people from all types of transportation under a single and sculptural roof shading the main public plaza. One courtyard is created to enable vertical connection in a theatrical way. [AUBE_2010]


Energy Business District Ordos, China Architect for a conceptual 18 Ha masterplan commissioned by Erdos Group, for the feasibility of an Energy Business District, a green CBD in the city, focusing on renewable energy and sustainable technologies. [URBANUS_2010]

Cloud City, Manual for Eco-Cities in China Nanchong, China Project Architect on a yearlong research on Eco cities’ implementation in China. The project is organized as a manual, presenting, steps by steps, from national to local scale how a flexible design template can act as a catalyst for sprawl. To become green, China must adopt a policy of ‘ No new city’. The strategy integrates the extant urban areas to create a network of connected eco-hubs and by urbanizing the industrial areas surrounding every Chinese city, the manual proposes a tangible alternative at the land selling model currently in place, converting Brownfield into green’s one. A new backbone for a sustainable development in China. [MARS_2011]

The Strips Commercial Street Guiyang, China Project Architect for this 18,000 m² commercial street. Constrained by a steep site and over looking at the river, the project challenges the traditional typology of commercial street by acting as a large scale retaining wall, offering terraces, vertical and strolling connections between the new residential development and the river. [AUBE_2010]

AVIC Aerodynamic Research Center Shenyang, China Project Architect for the masterplan and the architecture of a 40 ha site devoted to wind tunnel laboratories for the aerospace industry. Comprised of 200,000 m² in four districts including laboratories, research and office facilities, support facilities and an industrial development zone, the design intent is to create a cohesive densely landscaped campus that will provide a “sense of place” for the public, researchers and staff. International Movie Metropolis Qingdao, China Project Architect for the upgrade of the convention and car show centers near the ocean. Based on the dynamic and the prestige of the program, we develop a secondary skin wrapping elegantly the existing building to finally give the ceremonial attract the project deserved. [AECOM_2014]

Beijing New CBD Core Beijing, China Architect in charge of the landscape design for the limited competition for the masterplan of the new CBD Core of Beijing. The 30 ha project is promoting a very strong image for the new business district: a cultural and commercial wall that acts as connecting podium, linking all the office and hotel towers together. Promenades, cafes, restaurants, bike renting system on top of the wall create a unique experience in the new heart of the city, 36 m above the street level. Beijing Century Art Hotel Beijing, China Project Architect for a limited competition for this high-end boutique hotel. The 35,000 m²150 keys hotel developed for an art entrepreneur will cater to the international art community and set the precedent for boutique hotels in China. The new hotel shares a site alongside an art gallery designed by Tadao Ando and offers respect for the iconic structure while maintaining a strong presence and architectural character in its own right. Caoxi Tourist Center Plaza Shanghai, China Project Architect for the commission of the Tourist Center public spaces. Combining a footbridge, shaped as a W to connect the subway station to multiple entrances of the adjacent building and an undulating commercial street, the project achieves a new leisure hub for the City. It persuades people to activate the public domain by offering more comfortable outdoor spaces. [MARS_2012]

Architecture Residential Park Wuhan, China Project Architect for this 40 ha site containing over 615,000 m² of program located south of the Jufeng National Park. The site will contain a corporate headquarters for China State Construction, a 5-star hotel, office and nearly 2000 units of low and high-rise residential. The overall masterplan was conceived as a grand park with pedestrian connectivity throughout the site boasting views to the mountains beyond. [AECOM_2014]

HK-Macao Bridge Crossing Bounday Facilities Shenzhen U - Teachers Apartments Hong Kong Shenzhen, China Project Architect for the international competition Architect for the commission of 19,500 m² for the for the design of the Hong Kong-Macau Bridge teachers’ apartments of the University of Shenzhen. The Border Crossing Facilities. Hui’an Strategic Masterplan Hui’an, China Project Architect for the design of a strategic masterplan for the upgrade of the old town. Located on a peninsula, with stunning views of the ocean and the rocky landscape, the old town lacks attractiveness. A new green transportation, a «8» loop, meeting at the central public space, becomes the backbone of a series of new cultural and public spaces to activate a low but dense residential layer. CEPA Towers Shenzhen, China Architect for the international competition for the construction of 2 towers in Luohu. The 79,000 M² of the project are divided in 2 towers linked by a commercial podium. The small tower, 140 m high, is connecting the complex to his urban context and scale and hosts the apartments. The tall one, 350 m high, is the future landmark of the renewal of the district and creates the new image for the border with Hong Kong. [URBANUS_2010]

Luohu Archives Center Shenzhen, China Architect for the limited competition of 21,000 m² building for the new Archive center in Luohu. The project is divided between open and restricted access areas (public to private) and conceptualized as 2 blocks sitting on the landscaped plaza. The interpretation of Chinese stamp is running through the project, from the site layout to the facade design. A continuous and spiraling terrace offers shaded outdoor space to the archives’ staffs.
