MIDSHIPMAN ACTION GROUP HELPS TORNADO VICTIMS IN JOPLIN Members of the Naval Academy Midshipmen Action Group are in Joplin, M.O., this week to help with community service projects in an effort to assist local families affected by tornado damage in May 2011. The group, led by Midshipman 1st Class Stephanie Migut of New Brunswick, N.J., is made up of ten midshipmen who are focusing on a home-building project funded by the Naval Academy Foundation in conjunction with local agencies. Naval Academy volunteers are helping in construction and debris removal at local home sites. Three of these midshipmen were also part of the storm chasing team “Swift,” which was working near the location the tornado touched down in May 2011. > > FA C E B O O K

CAC cards with 64K or 72K series need to be replaced before Oct. 1, regardless of the expiration date. CACs with Oberthur ID One v5.2 Dual; Oberthur ID One v5.2a Dual; Gemalto ACCESS 64K; or Gemalto GCX4 72K DI engraved in the back must be reissued. Monthly yard sales will start March 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Navy Exchange parking lot at NSA Annapolis. Space rental is restricted to active duty and reserve service members, DoD civilians, the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Athletics Association and DoD contractors working at the academy. Cost is $10. Preregister one week in advance at the MWR building #89.
