Manufactured from Grilon 2 R40 GM Polyamide 6, being LSFZeroHalogen and exhibits self-extinguishing characteristics to UL94 Class V0. Suitable for use with all steel wire armoured (SWA) cables for either indoor or outdoor environments, providing an IP66 environmental seal to the cable outer sheath. Mechanical armour wire retention and electrical continuity is provided by a detachable armour cone and AnyWay universal clamping ring which allows for easy removal of the gland body for testing without disturbing the clamping arrangement. Metric male thread lengths are at least 15mm and rated at IP54 as standard, which can be increased to IP66 with a nylon thread washer. Longer metric threads are also available as well as a NPT threaded variant, please contact our Sales Team for further information. ­­­ Suitable for use with all steel wire armoured (SWA) cables for either indoor or outdoor environments, featuring a CIEL cast integral earth lug providing a permanently crimped, lowimpedence connection to the cable armouring. Particularly critical on installations where high induced currents through the cable armour may be experienced, or for use with 11-42kV cables. An IP66 environmental seal is provided to the cable outer sheath. Metric male threads are rated at IP54 as standard, which can be increased to IP66 with a nylon thread washer. Longer metric threads are also available as well as a NPT threaded variant, please contact our Sales Team for further information.

The ZEN range of insulated cable glands enables an innovative approach for electrical installations, providing a method which permits the zoning of earth connections for earthed neutral systems of supply. The ZEN concept effectively insulates the gland and cable armouring from the equipment, eliminates circulating currents and provides high levels of protection against fault currents, particularly useful for Medium Voltage (11-33kV) cable installations. Manufactured in both aluminium (A prefix) and brass (B prefix) depending upon the armour wire material, two variants of gland are available: ➜➜ (A)(B)324 ZEN insulated gland with CIEL (cast integral earth lug)

➜➜ (A)(B)348 standard ZEN insulated gland

It is usual to install the 324-style CIEL gland at the supply end of the cable, with the 348-style being installed onto the equipment at the load end. Mechanical armour wire retention and electrical continuity is provided by a separate armour cone and clamping ring which allows for easy removal of the gland body for testing. Rather than a traditional metric thread at the equipment entry, the ZEN concept features a two-part insulated component which secures the gland onto the equipment, continuing the IP66 rating. 324-style CIEL Version Order Ref.

A2F Unarmoured Cable Gland

ATEX certified brass stuffing glands suitable for use with all un-armoured cables, providing mechanical cable retention and an IP66/67/68 LSFZeroHalogen environmental displacement seal onto the cable’s outer sheath. Tri-Star triple certified Flameproof EExd, Increased Safety EExe and Restricted Breathing ExnR for use within hazardous areas. Metric male threads are rated at IP54, which can be increased to IP66 with a nylon thread washer or IP68 deluge-protected with the addition of an O-ring to special order. Available from stock in kit form which includes: gland, grey LSFZeroHalogen shroud and brass locknut. Also available with black LSFZeroHalogen, PVC or PCP shrouds if preferred. Longer metric threads are also available as well as a NPT threaded variant. The A2F gland can also be supplied rated to IP67 or IP68 to special order, please contact our Sales Team for further information. Triton Compensating Displacement Seal (CDS) glands feature a unique reversible armour cone making them suitable for steel wire (SWA), steel tape (STA) and braided armoured cables within Flameproof ATEX hazardous areas, CAT 2 (Zone 1) and CAT 3 (Zone 2). Provides IP66 LSFZeroHalogen environmental seals onto the cable’s inner and outer sheaths and integral Deluge Protection seal to prevent corrosion of the cable’s armouring. Mechanical armour wire retention and electrical continuity is provided by the reversible armour cone and AnyWay universal clamping ring, which allows for easy removal of the gland body for testing without disturbing the clamping arrangement. A variant is also available to suit Lead sheathed (Pb) cables. Longer metric threads are also available as well as a NPT threaded variant. ThermEx high-temperature version also available, with seal rated upto 200ºC.

TE1FU Hazardous Area SS316 Cable Gland

Globally approved 316 stainless steel cable gland, suitable for use within potentially hazardous, onerous installation environments. Featuring the Compensating Displacement Seal (CDS) and reversible armour cone making them suitable for steel wire (SWA), steel tape (STA) and braided armoured cables within Flameproof ATEX hazardous areas, CAT 2 (Zone 1) and CAT 3 (Zone 2). Provides IP66 LSFZeroHalogen environmental seals onto the cable’s inner and outer sheaths and integral Deluge Protection seal to prevent corrosion of the cable’s armouring. Mechanical armour wire retention and electrical continuity is provided by the reversible armour cone and AnyWay universal clamping ring, which allows for easy removal of the gland body for testing without disturbing the clamping arrangement. A variant is also available to suit Lead sheathed (Pb) cables. Longer metric threads are also available as well as a NPT threaded variant.

501/453 Universal Cable Gland

Dual-certified ATEX/IECEx brass weatherproof gland providing an IP66 environmental seal on the cable inner and outer sheaths. This gland features a “RAC” reversible armour clamp for use with all cable types: SWA, STA and wire braid, and a UNIVERSAL diaphragm-type seal onto the cable inner sheath and deluge boot protecting the gland-mating thread. IP66/67/68 seals throughout the gland construction and a uniform hexagon profile to enable easy installation. Serrated “Shake-Proof” Washers

Available in 316 stainless steel as standard, serrated “shake-proof” washers are fitted onto the gland’s male thread internally to the equipment, onto which the hexagon locknut is then installed. The washer acts as an antivibration device to prevent the gland and locknut inadvertently loosening in service.

Cable Gland Spanners

When installing CMP cable glands it is vitally important to use the correct tools to carry out the installation. This includes the use of the correct CMP Cable Gland Spanner, specifically designed to fit each individual component to minimise the potential for accidental injury caused by slippage and ensure trouble-free installation. Bear in mind that spanners will need to be at least used in pairs, some sizes requiring three or four different-sized spanners. Manufactured from UV stabilised LSFZeroHalogen black Nylon 66, this material offers a combination of engineering properties, characterised by its’ high strength and rigidity and exhibits excellent chemical, solvent and oil resistance. Specification and testing of these cable ties has been based on the directives detailed in Military Specification SAE-AS23190, related to SAE-AS33671 and SAE-AS33681.

PPA571 Coated Stainless Steel Banding PPA571 coated 316 stainless steel banding, suitable for installation within the most harsh of corrosive environments. PPA571 is a thermoplastic powder coating specifically designed to provide a tough, long-lasting coating to stainless and mild steels, it benefits from being LSFZeroHalogen and flame retardant with an extremely low toxicity index. The PP571 coated 316 stainless steel banding is resistant to adverse whether conditions, detergents, salt spray and airborne pollutants making it ideal for installation within marine, Petro-Chem and mass transit environments. Installed using RR-T03 or BANTAM installation tools.

Single-Bolt LSF Nylon Cleats

IEC BS EN 61914:2015

ETS range of single-bolt fixing two-part cable cleats are suitable for all single-core or multi-core power cables up to 57.0mm. Available as standard in LSFZeroHalogen flame retardant nylon, the product is UV stabilised, features high tensile strength and safe working loads similar to aluminium cleats. M10 fixings are used throughout the range to enable different sizes to be easily stacked, indeed the single-bolt version can be stacked above the two-bolt cleat version, particularly useful if running a clean earth with a multi-core power cable.

CABLE TIES & CLEATS

A black polyethylene version is also available for outdoor, non-LSF applications.

2HVR red version also available to compliment red-sheathed HV power cables from 46.0 to 135.0mm diameter. M10 fixings can be used throughout the range and some sizes feature the same boltfixing centres which can enable different sizes to be easily stacked.

Single-Bolt 1A Aluminium Cleats

IEC BS EN 61914:2015

Diecast aluminium cable cleats are short-circuit tested to 70kA peak and suitable for cables from 10mm to 57mm overall diameter. The standard product is supplied in plain aluminium, suitable for normal industrial use or outdoor, un-polluted environments. The product can also be supplied with a variety of protective coatings to order (e.g. polyester). Designed for direct fixing onto ladder or channel with no additional adaptor plates or packing piece required and can be easily stacked.

CABLE TIES & CLEATS

CFK cleat fixing kits enable easy fixing of the cleat to cable ladder rungs or 41mm wide steel channel. Included in each kit: M10 threaded stud, hexagon nut, flat washers and plain channel nut.
