Eufaula Lakeshore Realty founder and Broker Karen Weldin I have been a part of the Lake Eufaula community since 1990. I started out as a “weekender” spending nearly every weekend at the lake and falling in love with it. In 1996 I moved to Lake Eufaula with my partner and have been here ever since. Lake Eufaula is my home. Besides real estate, I have a passion for social and community change and spend much of my free time involved in projects and events that satisfy my beliefs and interests. Acquiring, renovating and bringing 100+ year old buildings back to life is a huge passion of mine. I love seeing them come alive with businesses and activities that help the community and bring smiles and enjoyment to people. Customer service is the number one priority in my real estate business. I know that people come to me with needs and wants about the most important investments of their lives. I take this very seriously. My main goal is to provide professional care services to my customers and clients. Helping people has been my goal my entire life. Besides my experience in the real estate profession, I have spent twenty years as a therapist, have been director of operations for a national non-profit organization, have volunteered in the community to help organize for social change, and have worked hard to make a lasting difference in my community. My skills and experience as a counselor, business woman and community organizer gives me a special collection of gifts to offer people help who are selling and buying real estate. I am sensitive to people’s needs; I hear and understand what they are saying and feeling; and possess the business savvy to get what needs to be done in a professional, ethical and timely manner. I also value education, knowledge and competency and am always striving to improve myself. I have a B.A. in Religion, a Masters degree in Human Relations, and the majority of the hours towards a Master of Divinity degree. Legacy On Main Street, located at 224 N. Main Street, Eufaula, OK, is an entertainment and event venue. It was originally the First Christian Church building in Eufaula, OK built in 1915. Karen purchased the building, remodeled it and opened as an event center in January, 2015 on it’s 100th anniversary. Today if houses monthly dinner/shows with the majority of entertainment coming from Branson, MO. The Event Coordinator, Lynnsey deMontigny facilitates events during the rest of the time. It can be rented out for any of your events where you need a venue and full service assistance.

ENTERTAINMENT AND SHOPPING IN EUFAULA

Our Favorite Place, located at 127 N. Main Street, Eufaula, OK is a Made In Oklahoma product store and Art Gallery. The building was built near the turn of the twentieth century and was originally a bakery and then a mercantile store. Karen purchased the building in 2012 and opened a retail store on Main Street, Eufaula when there were not many. The store continues to feature Made In Oklahoma products and original art by Oklahoma Artits.


School hunger is a real problem across our country and right here in our backyard of Eufaula, OK. Last year there were 186 children whose families could not pay their lunch bills at the Eufaula Public Elementary School. There was a total of over $10,000 in past due accounts. No child should go hungry or worry about whether or not their parents can pay their lunch bill.
