Eumundi and District Pony Club is a small pony club that’s actually in Doonan. The club holds monthly Musters where our members all come together with their horses at our beautiful grounds to ride, hold interactive group lessons, and help each other further their equine education and talents. These musters help our riders and their horses get more experience under saddle in a supportive and fun environment, before they head out into the competitive world. On weekends members travel around Queensland to compete in a range of equestrian discipline’s proudly wearing their Eumundi uniforms.

Our club is run by a brilliant and hardworking committee that supports our younger generations coming up through the ranks. At 23 year’s old I’m proud to be the 2018/ 19 Eumundi Pony Club President. Eumundi Pony Club’s supportive Chief Instructor is 22 year old Jesse Falconer. She volunteers her time to come up with the muster schedule and lesson plans. Both Katt and Jesse are extremely committed to the club and to supporting Eumundi members in their equestrian fields. Our committee members are; Sharon Falconer, Amanda Noye, Cheiran Chadburn, Maree Aversa.

Recently on 2 and 3 February, a few of our talented riders represented the club proudly at the Official Nambour Pony Club Show Jumping Competition. Leilah Chadburn and her Paint Gelding, Another One Bites the Dust, competed in the 13 – 26yrs, 70 – 90cm class, against 35 riders and came home with 8th place! An awesome result for the first competition of the year.

Standardbred, Echelon Trooper, competed in the 13 – 26years, 70 - 90cm, also against 35 other local riders. Although no placings, Lily went home with a smile after her first ever competition with her horse.

I also rode my Off-the-Track Thoroughbred, Black Leg Sanji, competing in the 13 – 26years 90 – 110cm class, and enjoyed a few brilliant rounds to kick start the year.

Last Saturday 16 February, Eumundi Pony Club held their monthly 8am Muster at the club grounds (Corner of Fellowship Dr and Eumundi – Noosa Rd, Doonan).

It was a half day muster finishing up at 12pm to allow our members time to head home and prepare their horses for the Tewantin Noosa Hack Day on Sunday afternoon at Tewantin Noosa Pony Club . A number of our riders and committee members attended this hack day as it is another great warm up competition before the big ones get underway.
