The design solution was to create a functional layout while keeping enough room for two cooks. There will be specific areas with enough space for prep and cooking. More countertop space will provide extra prep area. The clients wanted more storage so more cabinets were added to the kitchen. The new design will include a tall and spacious pantry next to the refridgerator. Between the sink, range, and refridgerator there will be plenty of space for preparation, cutting, and assembling. The sink will now face the dining room for easy entertaining. Conversations can be held from the kitchen to the dining room. Under-lighting cabinets will give good lighting for tasks in the kitchen. The overall space will be calming and inviting for the clients to enjoy.
