Our shoemakers manufacture every individual BÄR shoe with meticulousness and expert craftsmanship. They are experts in their area and understand how to stitch together the punched out upper sections with the calfskin lining to achieve an impeccable shaft. Excellent and thorough stitch work is a key feature of a shoe‘s look and durability.

BÄR shoes are the result of the highest craftsmanship and also feature an array of reﬁned detail, including hand-stitched outsoles or elaborate inner features, which make them so comfortable. If you add up the many work phases needed to make a BÄR shoe, and the special details, you quickly reach the conclusion that this kind of shoe craftsmanship cannot be completed in just a few days and therefore can also not come cheap. However, they are value for money!

Bears Crossing – Passion for the outdoors Thanks to our anatomic last, we have also adopted the concept of barefoot walking in the sports, outdoor, hiking and trekking departments. The unpleasant consequences of the excessive demands we place on our feet often include injuries, bleeding toes and sore feet. With BÄR shoes this can be avoided as they support the natural roll of your foot. The “Bears Crossing” collection incorporates freedom for your

Treviso – The way is the goal The ”Treviso“ celebrated its première on the Santiago Pilgrim‘s Way. Sebastian Bär ”walked it in“ on that route and drew the astonished glances of the other pilgrims – because his feet did not hurt. His ”secret remedy“: the shoe which feels as if it‘s not there on your feet – the ”Treviso”. Tough outside and surprisingly soft inside. The hydrophobic cowhide – sustainably oil tanned, water-repellent and yet breathable with membrane – defies every type of weather. The toe cap protects feet and shoes, the 4 D-ring and 3 hook quick lacing system securely supports the foot up over the ankle. The deeplugged, non-slip sole, made of a slightly harder rubber mixture and with the back-protecting zero heel, is equally reliable. The whole boot has a soft base up to the heel collar and in the tongue. The breathable textile lining helped significantly by the generous freedom for your toes, ensures a balanced foot climate. Prosanita – walking without pain Life is set to improve, even for people who have long been unable to walk without pain. This shoe is lightweight and looks like a standard city shoe. The special features start with the new, stiffened ”Care+” sole with zero heel and rocker sole which supports the natural roll of the foot and evenly distributes all of the pressure on the metatarsal bones, the metatarsal heads. It is made of light PU with a good proﬁle, offers the highest level of cushioning and enables you to walk with the minimum of effort. One very special advantage: the removable 10 mm cushioned footbed. It consists of EVA foam (particularly light) and a latex interlayer (cushioning and pressure-relieving) into which both a pelotte and a cross-arch support have been integrated. The hygienic, washable microﬁbre insert absorbs the moistness of the foot. You can replace this footbed with an orthopedically prescribed insert. There is a foam rubber interlining between the soft elk leather on the outside and the seamless washable inner lining made of Syntec® Bioactive. No toecap.
