SHOPPING & SERVICES Usual opening hours are Monday to Friday (services), Monday to Saturday (street shops), Monday to Sunday (shopping Malls) from 9am to 7pm. Supermarkets and shopping malls are usually open 7 days a week until 9pm, often even on public holidays. Banks are open on weekdays during working hours. CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE AIRPORT & RADISSON BLU HOTEL THE CHEAPEST - by public transportation Public buses Bus #783 leaves every 40 min from the Arrival terminal and connects you to Piaţa Romană in about 30 minutes (depending on traffic departures from the airport from 00.30am to 11.45pm). THE EASIEST - by taxi In the hall of the airport you will find touchscreen terminals for taxi requests (several languages are available). You will be able to choose your fare and order a taxi. You will receive a ticket indicating the company and car number that will arrive at the exit of the terminal. A ride between the airport and the hotel costs between 30 – 60 RON (7 – 13 euros). Payment only by cash. Über and Taxify services work very well in Bucharest.
MOVING AROUND IN BUCHAREST BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Metro A 2-trip ticket costs 5 RON (1¤), a 10-trip ticket costs 20 RON (4.5¤). A daily pass costs 8 RON (1.7¤).
Bus, Tram The price for one trip is 1.3 RON (0.30¤). You can buy a MULTIPLU card and top it up with 2 to 10 trips. The card in itself (empty) costs 1.6 RON. This card is not rechargeable. You can also buy a non-nominal ACTIV card (electronic wallet). The card in itself costs 3.7 RON and you can top up with the amount you want and also recharge it. The advantage of this card is that you can use it for the metro as well. You can purchase any of these cards in major bus stations.
