What is EAATTC?

the new advanced night vision goggles course.

The European Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Course aims to provide air transport crews with a robust airlift tactics training syllabus in order to enhance interoperability between European air forces. It takes crews into a theatre-deployment mindset, exposing them to airland and airdrop missions in a tacticallychallenging environment. Emphasis is put on aircraft operations and on application of procedures in a changing environment.

EAATTC 16-1 in Zaragoza, Spain EAATTC 16-1 will take place in Zaragoza Airbase, Spain, from 14 to 26 February 2016. The event gathers five aircraft from four different countries (Belgium: C130, Germany: C160, Spain: C130 and C295, Poland: C295) and over 120 personnel from different countries (Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy and Poland) and organisations (EATC and JAPCC). This edition of EAATTC is dedicated to single-ship flying missions and

The first week starts with tactical awareness academic courses over four half-days and basic formation flying sorties. The complexity of the missions will increase over the course of the second week to involve low-level flying formation, in an air-to-air and surface-to-air threats environment. Nine flights are planned for the single ship course and eight for the night vision goggles course. At the end of the course, graduating crews will be presented with a certificate based on the training events completed.
