Experts expected the yachting sector to suffer heavy losses due to the pan demic, the war in Ukraine and general economic uncer tainty. However, leisure boat registrations in the islands decreased only 5.6 per cent during this season compared to losses of 17.1 per cent in mainland Spain. The Balearic Islands accounted for two out of every 10 leisure boats registered in the nation.

Specialists vs generalists – a sporting analogy

Multi-managerenvironments.investing is not de signed to attempt to win a gold medal in just one particular season. My family, without Dad of course, who was driving a tank against Rommel at the time, had returned from our war time evacuation to my grandparents’ home, which had mirac ulously survived the bombing.

STRANGE to look back and realise that I have actually been a follower of spiritu alism my entire life. Well not quite all of it; the experience began to emerge when I was around four years of age.

Mum and I had our own bed room, containing a large double bed which we shared together. One night, with Mum softly dozing beside me, I suddenly awoke. For some obscure reason I found myself slowly raising my head above the blanket, my sleepy eyes immediately focused on the ap parition standing at the bottom of my bed.

I truly don’t know how else to describe it. Shimmering white and serene, wearing a robe with a head covering, similar to those worn in the Middle East, it simply stood, half turned toward me, without making a Utterlysound.
