New leisure park

A NEW recreation and leisure park is to be built in El Pinillo on a plot of 40,000 square metres. With hopes for the park to be ready this year, the park announced by mayor Ángeles Muñoz is to be named ‘Parque del Mediterráneo’.

The park will be host to two children’s areas, sports courts for volleyball, football, and beach handball as well as provide spaces for yoga, pedestrian paths, 250 parking spaces and an auditorium for holding outdoor shows.

With €2.4 million of planned investment behind the new park, the area is to be used and “available to local residents and was necessary in recovery of the concessions of lands,” said Mayor Ángeles Muñoz
