BRAVE GRANNY
NOT ONLY has fearless granny, 55yearold Kat, built her own Land Rover she has also set off around the world all for a good cause.
On February 6, Kat and her 60yearold friend, Nicole, left Spain. The plan is to drive to the UK and then ship to Egypt to continue their journey to South Africa.
They will cover a whopping 20,000 plus miles. SIxteen plus countries and a whole continent will be covered over the period ofsix to seven months whilst raising funds for The Little Angels of Uganda.
When she isn’t off gallivanting, Kat, originally from Kent in the UK shares her time between Malaga and her home town.
Kat confirmed the inspiration behind the trip:
“Eleven years ago I rode a quad bike to Timbuktu after my grandma died and it became a sort of memorial for her and also a big charity event for the Macmillan cancer charity, but it’s always grated on me a bit that the money we raised went into Europe.”
