FANS of pure luxury will be pleased to hear that Melia Hotels is getting geared up to open a five star hotel in the centre of Malaga.
The hotel is scheduled to open at the end of 2024, becoming a benchmark hotel for modernity and avantgarde luxury in Malaga.
Melia Hotels International continues to grow its portfolio of luxury hotels, which is scheduled to increase by more than 40 per cent over the next three years, after announcing a new hotel for its luxury lifestyle ME by Melia brand in the historic centre of Malaga.

The hotel will be located on the Calle Victoria, next to the Plaza de la Merced, with views of the sea and the monuments of the Alcazaba. It will also be located near the Roman Theatre, the Picasso Museum and the Museum of Malaga.
This prime location near all the most important and attractive cultural and dining options in the city is the ideal setting for the hotel which is inspired by the most contemporary and innovative European lifestyle experiences.

Infinite Summer
TORREMOLINOS participated in the tourism fair Salon des Vacances in Brussels, Belgium, which ran from February 2 until February 5.
Spain is the second international destination for holidays of more than four nights for tourists from Belgium, being also the first choice in the sun and beach segment.
Torremolinos received 33,955 Belgian tourists in 2022, representing an increase of 18.9 per cent over the figure for 2019, the year before the pandemic. The overnight stays of these tourists last year were 232,902, also experiencing a growth of 18.8 per cent compared to 2019.
Under the slogan ‘An Infinite Summer’, Torremolinos participated in the fair where professional meetings were held and the public were shown numerous materials about the various campaigns launched as ‘10 Leisure Plans for the Family in Torremolinos’. The new brochure ‘Torremolinos, a paradise for sport’ was also taken to Brussels with detailed information about the sports on offer in the town which, thanks to its climate, allows the enjoyment of leisure and outdoor sports all year round.
THE first meeting of 2023 for the Estepona Floral Art Club was an unqualified success. Thirty six members and visitors enjoyed Penelope Harrison’s ‘Nature’s Bounty’ floral arrangements.
February’s demonstration will take place on Tuesday, February 21, at 3.00pm at the El Paraiso Golf Club, Urb El Paraiso, Ctra de Cadiz km 167 Estepona.
The demonstration will be given by Kathleen who is a keen gardener and a Northwest Area demonstrator in the UK, her demonstration is entitled ‘Old Friends and New trends’.
The meeting will start promptly at 3.00pm.
Visitors will only be charged €15 so why not head down to the Floral Art Club demonstration and bring your friends to support the club and Kathleen.
