Leading currency provider celebrates special anniversary
CURRENCIES DIRECT have been helping people save time and money on their currency transfers since 1996, making them one of the longest standing currency providers in Europe.
This month they would like to celebrate one of their longest standing employees, Peter Loveday, Managing Director Southern Europe.

In the 20 years Peter has been with the company he has been instrumental in overseeing and supporting its growth across Southern Europe.
Under his leadership Currencies Direct has opened 20 branches across Spain, and now employs over 100 people and that expansion is set to continue.
Conference had a different format from usual with a morning and afternoon session. The formal part of the proceedings was completed before lunch. It began with the Parading of Standards and featured a very interesting speech from Jason Coward. There was also time for some questions from the floor for the visitors from London.
After a fabulous three course lunch there were two presentations. The first was
PEEK, the male Bornean orangutan of BIOPARC Fuengirola has now passed away.
In the world of conservation, there is no better news than the recovery of a species in danger of extinction or the announcement of new births that guarantee their existence. But there are also other sadder realities that animal protection teams have to face, such as deaths.
On this occasion, the BIOPARC Fuengirola team has had to face the harsh reality of the death of Peek, the male Bornean orangutan that it has the award of the Mary Le Corney Trophy, donated by Neal Toplis, which was won by Duquesa Branch for collecting the most amount of money per head for the 2022 Poppy Appeal. The second presentation was a perpetual trophy for the Annual Photographic Competition. It was won by Martyn Higgin from Los Romanes for his photograph entitled ‘The Three Amigos’.
The sum of €220 was raised for the 2023 Poppy Appeal.
