He confirmed that some have been installed and are already working in order to increase road safety in some parts of the city.

The intelligent signals have already been placed in different locations on Avenida Gregorio Maranon and Avenida Desiderio Rodriguez, among other locations.

The councillor confirmed that: “These are light signals that are activated through sensors, which send a signal when they detect the pas­ mitment to “the economic development of the region.” Alberola added, “In 2021 we contributed around €405 million to the Alicante City region’s GDP, a figure which we expect to grow in coming years thanks to our expansion plan.”
